Huckberry Flint and Tinder Men's Flannel-Lined Waxed Trucker Jacket

Dear Flint & Tinder, This is one of the best jackets for Fall to early part of Winter. It is flannel lined and nicely waxed so many people can wear this type of jacket. I understand this jacket is was designed for Truckers but normal men have purchased it because it is rough and tough. It's well built, durable, it keeps you warm and dry. This is my first waxed cotton jacket with a flannel lining and it'll be the last. I am in my mid 40's so I am starting to appreciate items that will last a long time with care. For example, I wear manily Grant Stone footwear. Their shoes, boots, and loafers are all resoleable and made from good materials. They are considered Heritage footwear just like this jacket. I have been wearing glasses for a better part of 20 yrs yet this is the first time, a couple months ago that I started looking for heirloom quality frames. What I found was Moscot's acetate frames also very robust and seems like glasses that will last a decade if not longer. The reason I wanted this jacket is because I love heritage style clothing. I wear selvedge denim jeans from Naked & Famous and before that I wore nothing but 7FAMK jeans. They cost around the same but selvedge is the best you can buy. Point I'm making is that the older you get the more you stop buying fast fashion but rather you buy things that will develop a patina and tell a story of how you live your life. What you do in them everyday. Ever scrap, nick, fade, scratch etc, give the piece character and tells YOUR story and the type of life you live. Sure. It doesn't come with the prestiage of buying from D&G or Prada, or Gucci, or Burberry but those products charge a lot just to have their brand names plastered all over your clothing and they cut corners on quality and durability. This jacket is perfect. It works for my style. It keeps me warm, and it will protect me no matter the weather. Now, these are flannel lined so when it gets cold you will need to wear a thick hoodie or thermals for layering. I have also bought the wool version of this jacket and I will use it for the winter time, when it gets cold. I can't wait to see how this jacket patinates and the creases that they develop and I will no longer buy clothing from brands with big logos. My Moscot frames, the Baitsim and the Dolt have absolutely no branding on the outside but the branding is in their style and on the inside of the temples which most people can not see. F&T has been around a long time. Not as long as Moscot's I don't think(110yrs) but they make very well made durable pieces. I bet I can wear this jacket for the rest of my life and it'll only get better with more wear. I am extremely happy with my purchase and I can't wait to get the wool lined version of this jacket! If you're looking for something that will keep you dry, warm, and comfortable while it's getting colder then buy this jacket and you won't be sorry. My only gripe is that the sleeve are a bit short. I am 6'1 and 160lbs so I'm skinny and the sleeves are on the shorter side but that's ok because I can wear them with the sleeves rolled up and no one would be able to tell they're not long enough. What do you think?

This jacket fits like a glove. I am 5”10” @150 pounds and a medium fits perfectly. I have broad shoulders and a 32” waist. I work out everyday. This jacket is tailored to perfection for a person who actually works!!! The quality was noticeable as soon as I opened the buttons, it had the perfect amount of wax, not too dry or wet. This jacket is easily worth much more than the price. I can already tell it will only get better with age.

I have been eyeing this item for a year, and $300 is pretty steep, but I decided to pull the trigger and treat myself. I first tried a Large, but had to return for XL. I’m super happy with the fit and style of this jacket. The waxed canvas is stiff but comfortable. Looking forward to breaking this in.

Absolutely worth the investment, fit is perfect, I’m 6’3” 190lbs and got a LT, it’s soft and sturdy at the same time, the look is formal enough to be used at an office and on the field. Love it and recommend it.

Quality of the item was nice. However sizing was a miss. I’m 5’11 197 lbs - athletic build - medium was too tight across the chest. I wear medium in every other piece of clothing/jacket, but in this case…Flint and Tinder was too restrictive in medium, so much so that I couldn’t fully hug myself. Returning for a large. FYI, if you return this item it could take up “30 days” to confirm the exchange according to Amazon (which I find highly inconvenient)

This is THE jacket, it kept me dry in a winter downpour and the waxy sail cloth kept me dry while my tin cloth hat soaked through. I have a few Barbours, a Filson Tin Cloth Vest and even a Patagonia waxed canvas Jacket but the Waxy Sail cloth in this Flint and Tinder is the most weather resistant and feels the most durable. For comparison Filson Tin Cloth feel heavy, oily and it less water resistant and is made overseas while the Flint and Tinder Waxed Trucker is made in the USA on the Best Coast. Pay attention to the measurements on the sizing guide as most reviews suggest sizing up. I did and am very happy with the fit. This jacket is a durable shell that offers a small amount of warmth from the lining, consider the wool lined version or sizing room for layering

It's more than a little pricey...But man I love it! No obvious flaws noticed. Seems to be well made. The lining is thinner than I expected, but the jacket warmed me up quick. Was worried because I saw a review saying it wasn't waxed, or not waxed well. Mine is thoroughly coated. Did a drip test and water beaded nicely. The color is beautiful and it is overall just a sharp jacket. Wish it was $100-$150 cheaper, and it was a spur of the moment decision, but it's definitely a keeper. I included photos to demonstrate the fit. I am 6'3" and 185lbs. Chest size is between 39-40". I wanted it to fit snug so I went with a medium-tall. It fits exactly as I wanted it to. Again, this is a snug fit that I was looking for. The sizing guide I used seems to be accurate. Get a tape measure and follow the guide provided.

Tried to purchase an extra large TALL and was twice sent a regular length extra large. Went to their website and while still listed, their AI bot confirmed they no longer sell this jacket in TALL. Would have been nice to know before purchasing. It was even packaged in a plastic bag that said the word tall on it. But upon opening it both times it had a regular fit extra large inside. The jacket itself seems great. I had to purchase a used one on eBay that truly was a tall version.

I’m 5’11 (180cm) and 70 kg/154lbs, chest 37/ 38 and got the size small. Still, this jacket offers plenty of room to layer on cold days. The size chart is accurate. It is well constructed, robust and warm. Love the colour!! Not cheap considering the shipping duties charges but worth it! I love this jacket.... Recommend owning one of these.

Sehr gute Jacke die lange halten wird und entsprechend einen eigenen Charakter bekommt - nur aufpassen, neben der normalen Größe gibt es die Jacke in jeweils 2 Längen: Classic und Tall (tall = länger)
