Looking forward to using this for decoupage

I've bought several of these plain wooden tissue boxes to paint & customise. They are superb!!! They are a FANTASTIC price at £4.99 each too!!! Seriously, you cannot go wrong!! I personally think these are amazing, both in its quality, & its fab value for £ price. These are obviously only plain wood, MDF, with no finish to them, so these are for painting up, more so than actually for choosing to purchase one for it as it is. As I've said, their quality is great. They are well made, & have a simple slide out bottom, for easy insertion of a tissue box inside. It is the perfect size for a standard rectangle shape & sized box of tissues. I would highly recommend, & will deffo continue to buy more of these!!! Cant rate these highly enough!!

very lightweight wood and therefore potentially fragile - almost certain to break if you drop it on a hard floor. construction is neat but nothing special. ideal for painting to match room or furniture colours. needs two undercoats before the topcoat. unpainted, the porous wood would stain easily and soon look scruffy. a great buy at the price if you want to paint it, which is what I did.

I bought this to decorate myself.When it arrived, I got very excited and decided to paint the box but instead of using paint, I used Hit Pibk Glitter Glue. It hasWorked a treat and come out very shiny as the cluse setsClear and hard like a varnish. How long it will last? I don't know but one thing I do know is I've got the sparkliest, pinkest tissue box holder in my town and it's the only oneGreat product easy to use, but be careful as has some small splinters on the edges of the opening and slide in bottom. I used a nail file to rib it down.

I've got the box more than a year ago and still very pleased with it. It keeps an ordinary size tissue box inside no problem at all. The lid (on the bottom) does slid open when you slide the box towards yourself but I keep it on the dining table and don't move it too much, to be honest. Even with the kids in the house it's not a problem, in any way you usually pick the box up if you need to move it. I didn't paint it but got a pack of self adhesive stickers to decorate and it looks very nice and different.
