Amtech S3260 50m x 10mm Polypropylene Rope

OK Firstly it is worth noting that I ordered this direct from Amazon and not one of the multiple market place sellers so I cant comment on other sellers or what they do or do not supply,It is also worth also noting that other buyers have claimed this is not 10mm rope I can assure you what I received as measured with callipers is in fact 10.75mm so it is absolutely 10mm “minimum”.So this rope as supplied via “Amazon” I can fully confirm is 100% exactly as per the description, it is a minimum of 10mm diameter, it is hi visibility red, it is made from polypropylene, the rope is very strong, it is made by am-tech on a reel which will be at least 50 meters long, from my inspections I have found no joints in the rope anywhere along the total length.My conclusion for a 50 Meter rope of 10mm diameter yes you can buy better ropes but absolutely not at this price, for the money this is selling for you will be hard pushed to find a better value rope with this quality and size.I absolutely recommend buying one (if you or ordering direct from amazon) I cant comment on other market place sellers and what they will sell you.

good quality rope . used it to lift fencing posts up to 55 kg . still usable . good price in amazon compare to what i paid in local DIY shop .

This is a great value 3 strand, 10mm laid polypropylene rope. Mine was join- and splinter-free and measured 10mm. It is not, as one reviewer mentioned that the picture shows, a twisted rope ie it does not have strands bundles (yarns) of fibres within each of the 3 strands and so will have a tendency to come untwisted under load - hence 1 dropped star, though in fairness one would probably not expect this from a budget polypropylene rope and is unlikely to be a problem for most applications.Picking up on some other reviews, polypropylene ropes are inherently stiff and difficult to tie and this is not a quality defect: they are selected for other properties (very cheap, very light weight/floating, high strength, rot resistant and dimensionally stable when wet) and unsuitable where ability to hold knots is an important factor. Nevertheless they will hold selected knots perfectly well (double figure of 8; round turn & 2 half hitches.) Leave long tails on the knots. Can't comment on the colour fastness yet.

The picture as of December 2016 is misleading and it came from amazon so it lost a star.The rope is made up of 3 twisted strands of roughly 55 0.5mm fibres. The picture makes it look those 3 strands are made up from a group of smaller strands.The diameter using calipers is about 8-8.5mm. Maybe looser or bulkier parts of the rope would be 10mm. I haven't checked the entire length yet.The colour is more orange red than red.It was one of the cheapest bundles that amazons crap search engine threw up.

Good rope, although like others commented it does seem to have some ropey joins in it, not a problem if like me you cut into shorter lengths for its use.

it is almost impossible to firmly secure and the cable does not stay closed,it is all plastic not rope at all

Ich habe letztes Jahr ein Klettergerüst für meine Tochter selbst gebaut (siehe Bild 1). Um es oben zu sichern brauchte ich ein Seil. Es sollte rot sein und etwas aushalten. Dann habe ich mich für dieses hier entschieden. Leider der totale Fehlkauf. Wird das Seil dem Wetter (Sonne, Regen etc...) ausgesetzt verliert es nach kurzer Zeit die Farbe und dann zerfällt es nach ein paar Monaten in alle Einzelteile!!! WIRKLICH SOBALD MAN ES ANFASST ZEBRÖSELT ES KOMPLETTT!!!Wenn es jemand zu Hause (in geschlossenen Räumen) verwenden möchte, dann hält es wahrscheinlich länger aber für draußen ist es überhaupt nicht geeignet!!! Finger weg, wenn es jemand draußen verwenden möchte!!!

La cuerda está muy bien, es de material plástico, pero es buena cuerda dependiendo el propósito, el color es de un rojo fuerte bien visible
