Q: Would these be suitable for short distances on road as i would run to the trails.

Yes, but they can be a bit slippery on wet road (especially down hill). I’ve never fallen in them but I am more careful. If the route was 50/50 road and trail I would consider a different shoe. If it’s more than 50% trail I’d use them as they are so good off road (waterproof, grippy and comfortable).

Q: Are these totally 100 percent waterproof

No boot will ever be 100% waterproof.

Q: Are these true to fit and how is width

I am usually a 10.5 but have learnt to size up to an 11 when it comes to Salomon. I have quite wide feet but have a standard fit which suits me.
