An absolute life-saver
I have a Jack Russell who is the most placid dog but actually comes to biting point if I attempt to clip his claws. I have tried and tried (and failed). As a result his claws were overgrown and started to cause him pain. I bought this and when I first put it on him, he wasn't having it. I gradually introduced it with treats - just turned it on and gave him treats, then moved onto to he got a treat if he let it touch his paw, then touching the nail etc. 3 weeks (and a lot of patience) later he now sits on my lap and I can do all 16 claws in about 3 minutes with a few treats and my dog sitting happy as Larry. I am so delighted with it.You will need to introduce it slowly if you have a nervous dog and taking your time to make him trust it is key. A great product if you are prepared to 'train' the dog to have it and brilliant if you've nicked your dog's quick before and they won't allow clippers near them.

Good little nail grinder :-)
I'd seen these type of nail grinders advertised but hadn't wanted to waste money if the item ended up on the ever growing 'nail tool graveyard' we'd already amassed for our large breed drama queen of a dog. This little grinder isn't the dearest you can buy and, similarly, isn't the cheapest but it does exactly what it says on the tin though and is quiet enough to not be scary for a dog that doesn't like having its nails done. There was a little reluctance from her at first but that was probably more down to the fact it was a completely new experience compared to manual clippers. If you follow the instructions on the enclosed leaflet, it does make the introduction easier.Whereas I appreciate there are more well known brands on the market, to be quite honest, for all but a tenner, this does the job and has proved to be a great introduction to nail grinders. The only footnote I'd add is that, as with any pet nail tools, always err on the side of caution where black/dark nails are concerned. It's better to leave them a bit long & let them wear down naturally than to risk hitting the quick

Good
This product IS very good. As my poor staffy is scared to have his nails clipped I bought this with high hopes. It has took me 3 days of trying to get him used to the product, but his nails are now 10 X better than before. It does take a few times to get them down but I'd say definitely worth £10!

Not what it says on the tin!
I know it's a bit late to write a review on this but I'm a busy person. On looking back through my purchases on Amazon, of which there have been many, I spotted this item but didn't recognise it at all. As it happens, I did get a pet nail grinder but it wasn't anything like this (see photo). There was no charger or any of the other attachments and it was white not black. I've scratched my head on this one and only wish I'd had more time to write a review earlier. My dog won't let me do his nails with anything anyway so it wasn't too important at the time, but on reflection I'm not really happy that I've been fobbed off with a less superior model. Obviously, I won't ever need to buy another but watch out for those who are thinking of buying one, check it thoroughly!

Extremely quiet!
Extremely quiet. My dog like most hates having his claws clipped and I hated doing it cos he wriggled so much. He's still not keen on this but doesn't hate it as much and also it's very very easy without fear of him suddenly moving when I have clippers in place! You can't really go wrong with this and that's what I like about it. Just 4 seconds on each claw once a month and we're done. Well worth the money.

Great product
Brought for my Dalmatian who hates his nails being done. He didn't like it straight away but with positive training and treats, he is fine with it now. Anyone who buys this make sure you have the patience with your dog, if they are uneasy about grooming. All in all great product x

It’s a good little bit of kit
It’s a good little bit of kit, just got to get the pooches used to the grinding sound. General volume is low and the older pooch doesn’t mind it at all. The pup however was like I was going toward her with a chain saw. Obviously takes longer than cutting the nails with clippers but good for tidyups. Have to be careful that you don’t overheat the nails or burn by keeping grinding on for too long, short bursts until complete.

Dogs paws
This machine is really good but I have found it is better not to use the ports as you have more control and can see what you are doing with just the grinder my dog will not let you touch his feet but he accepts this
