Good Solar Charger
Works well, connects easily to my backpack, and is light enough to carry backpacking... unless you're an ultra ultra lighter. My only complaint is that on a trip with a group, I offered it up for others to use (and carry), which they did. With the iPhones there was this annoying beep that kept happening about every minute. Each of them turned the power off on their phones but the sound kept on. It reminded us of being in an office so we had to move it very far away and some chose not to use it at all. What's the point of having something like that if no one wants to use it because of an unnecessary sound? I have an Android and there are no noises with mine. That's why my rating is so high. If I had an iPhone, it would be much lower for the annoying office-sounding beeps.

So Far So Good
I was torn between between th SC8 and SC5 and finally decided on the 8 due to the fact it had 2 USB output ports. 2 is 1 and 1 is none, right? So far this panel has worked as advertised. Just follow the directions on how to position it and it will charge your device as long as there is enough sunlightThe only thing is if you leave it out for some time, be careful when packing it up because the fiberglass gets crazy hot. I guess that is one advantage of the competition having cloth covered panels. Charges the family's iPhones, iPads, androids, gopros, etc with no issues. I will switching flashlights and headlamps to USB types to take full advantage of having a portable power source .

I got a charging icon on my phone on a cloudy day
It's still winter here and I only used it once so far. As an experiment I put the panel and on top of the car and plugged in my phone. It was a very overcast day, but I still got a charging icon. I'll do more testing this spring and summer. 2/7/16 I picked up a usb meter so I could see what's going on. On a partially overcast day, I got 4.98 volts, .48 amps and 2.2-2.3 watts going into my Android phone. In 10 minutes my phone gained approximately 3% charge level. (M port) when I thought about testing the a port a good cloud cover had moved in.

Laid flat was more like 1amp. Sweet
Does what it says. Period. Position it towards the sun and it goes to work charging. I saw 1.6amp charge on a winter's day. Laid flat was more like 1amp. Sweet. Someone posted that their only complaint is that their iPhone would beep each time it lost charge but it didn't beep with Android. The panel does not beep. It's the phone that beeps. So I'm not sure how that's Suntastics fault.

Giddy up.
Didn't know what I was expecting, except for a good charge. As the video review says, "an iphone should charge as fast as plugged in...". Well, I plugged in, and voila...it charges SUPER fast. I am pleased. It's lightweight, (seemingly) fairly sturdy, and does what it says. Used it 6+ times now under different circumstance. Works every time. What can I say besides, I endorse these guys.

Noice!
Got this one because I didn't want a cheap Chinese one that lies about their output. Have used it multiple times in tandem with a usb battery pack while backpacking.
