Original review +6 year update of using phone / batteries ARE included/
Extremely pleased with my choice as bought these to replace my two BT Studio Plus phones. Both handsets look identical. Bases also look identical with the only difference being the main one has a phone line socket at the back. Both have a rear power socket which simply plugs in.Very easy to install and set up even without needing to read the 36 page manual. Loved the fact both handsets share a single address book which meant I only needed to put my phone numbers into one of them. The handsets not only look sleek, they seem to be well made too. Best of all, they do not have that horrible plasticky feel which a lot of handsets have. They are almost twice the weight of my old BT Studio Plus phones, but that shouldn’t be an issue for anyone. When not in use the handsets display the time in big digits with the date and charge status below. All the usual features you’d find on other handsets like speed dial, speakerphone are all here.If you have more than one handset installed during a call then the standby phone displays the message 'Line in use', together with the phone charge status and current time.Box does come with 4 rechargeable batteries (AAA) so there is no need to buy any.INSTALLATION:Had one small issue when I connected the main base to my old phone extension cable. Even though my old phone worked well with my the current phone setup, the new handsets displayed ‘Check Phone Line’. This was solved by using the cable which came with this phone even though it was much shorter.UPDATE : + SIX MONTHS USE:After six months of daily use I have to say they are the best phones I’ve purchased. I originally thought replacing my BT ones these with was something I’d find hard to adapt to, but quite the opposite. . . . I LOVE these phones and as yet haven’t found a negative side to buying them. Absolute bargain!UPDATE : + 3 YearsNot had any issues whatsoever with them. Batteries are still going strong and still one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. One thing is for sure, they are superior to anything BT ever made!UPDATE : + 4 YearsHas to be one of my top purchases of 2019 to date, as it's all still working like new and still haven't found any negatives issues with it. Than again, it is a Panasonic so expected a robust product.UPDATE + 6 YearsThere are not many reviews I update after a single year, let alone six. I do so in this case because I wanted to let people know how happy I am on seeing these phones still working as well as they did the day I first used them. Even though they are used many times a day, they have been faultless. I have purchased may items over the years, and yet these stand out as being the best.WHY I CHOSE THIS PHONE OVER OTHERS.• Ability to block numbers, including all withheld.• Bargain price• Good household brand• Shareable phone book• Nice looking phoneBOX CONTAINS:• 2x Power adapters with uk plugs• 2x Handsets• 2x Base charging units• 1x Telephone cable• 4x AAA rechargeable batteriesLength of cables:Power: 178cm (70inch/ 5.5ft)Phone: 152cm (60inch/ 5ft)

Very good product at a perfect price
I bought this for my elderly parents and it was perfect for them. They do use the loud speaker option quite a bit when my siblings and I call them so glad this is featured on the phone. Also easy to set up and a loud enough ring tone for them.

Improved Panasonic 'phone set
I was replacing my older Panasonic 'phone set. This new set has a much sturdier base unit. It was simple and fast to install. A nice upgrade for placing the units where you want.

Lightweight and easy to use
This set of two cordless phones are fairly easy to setup and easy to use. The screens are clear which you can turn off i.e. at night if one is by the bed. I am disappointed that there is only one ringtone and that the sound is quite tinny, but for the price they are good rechargeable landline phones with call barring which is very much needed these days with all the nuisance calls. They also have the intercom connection between the two handsets so you can speak to someone in another part of the house, which is great if you have someone bed ridden or a wife who tells you to put the kettle on.

Looks good cordlessphone. Nice hand-free and easy to set up. Ringing tone is good. Value for money and just as described

Bought on behalf of my neighbour but I set it up for him.
And I'm very glad I did - he would have found the instructions difficult to follow. I didn't find them that much easier and ended up sending him home on the first day with the base for the extension phone, rather than the main base.Sound quality is good but it took a visiting O2 engineer to increase the in-call volume enough for him (a bit deaf but not yet ready for a hearing aid). Volume control of the ring tone is easy enough to change and it's loud enough (given the extension upstairs) for him to hear it all over the house and out into the front garden. Given that the walls in our homes are about 18" thick and solid stone, that's no mean feat.Setting up regularly used numbers looked easy enough to do so he'd get an audible indication of who was calling him. He hasn't let me set it up yet but I'm working on it. Buttons are a bit on the small side and it wouldn't be great for anyone with sight impairment or limited/difficult to control movement of their hands. If that applies, go with the big button ones, perhaps with pictures for people you regularly want to call. They're uglier (though the picture ones are a bit more attractive) but more useful for people with this type of need.Came with the batteries already in the phones so I returned the ones I'd bought too, thinking that he would need them. Overall, not a bad buy - he was reassured that it was a brand he knows and can use the basics well. Not holding my breath, waiting for him to let me set speed dial up though! One star deducted for the small print of the instructions and the fact that it needed an engineer to increase the in-call volume.
