Amazing gadget
Great quality and hard to believe that such a teeny and dare I say inexpensive item would be capable of connecting you to theinternet and handling all your data. I can tell that it does all this with great aplomb. I have used one for 3 years now and itis reliable and able to handle all my data requirements including uploading large video files to Vimeo for example.I only had to replace mine recently as I had it mounted on the front of my Mac desktop and was careless with my cabling and broke it by trippingover. I have since plugged the new one to the rear of the machine where it works equally well. I bought this from a third party via Amazon and it arrived on time, well packaged and in excellent condition.

Bolse® 300Mbps Wifi Wireless N USB Micro Mini Adapter - Windows 7 & 8.
I am not into leaving long technical reviews, i have enough of that at work. This works well on Windows 7 but not tried on Linux which is another reason I purchased it. Decent throughput, small and well designed and half the size of my previous wifi dongle. I found it smart to ensure your built in wifi (if you have one) is disabled as it seems to work better and that would make sense to me.

SOFTWARE WOULD NOT LOAD, NO FILE ON IT FOR 32-BIT VISTA
I wasted many hours trying to download a free device driver to make up for where this adapter's software fell short.I followed the instructions for downloading to my vista desktop but nothing happened. Eventually I managed to loose all internet connections in trying to fix it and no driver could be found on the internet for less than £30!!!I checked the files on the software and vista 64 was there and so on but no file for vista 32. I tried to contact the seller for help or for them to email the correct driver to me but they clearly dont want to talk to customers because there is no simple option to do so through Amazon - only to speak with amazon. Amazon posted a link to the seller but i've not had a response from them. I said i would be happy to keep the adapter if they could email me the driver but since i've not heard back from them I guess they don't give a monkeys. Amazon straight away told me to return the item and sent someone round the next day to collect it.What a complete waste of time.

Great initially but dropping problems
The adapter is a nifty little thing and fits quite neatly on my windows 8 desktop and when it is connected i get amazing speeds - up to 36 megabits/second which is pretty much the max speed i get on my contract. However, every time i put the computer to sleep and wake it up again I have to pull the adapter out and plug it back in again for the thing to agree to connect to a network, if i don't it just says "...was unable to connect to the network."Furthermore whilst browsing online every 10 or so minutes the connection will drop and i'll have to pull it out and put it back in again and reconnect which is really very time consuming. So overall for the 10 minutes you can get it to connect to your WiFi network it works a treat but you'll find yourself wasting valuable time plugging, un-plugging and reconnecting it pretty frequently which is why it only gets 2 stars- would recommend you look elsewhere for a USB WiFi adapter

Good hardware, possibly dodgy software
I've had problems with wireless - as we live in a seven person house and I'm in the basement, the range can sometimes be problematic. This thing has some damned good range on it, for such a small adapter. It picks up the wireless two floors above me and then some distance backwards really clearly. But, sometimes it seems to disconnect for no apparent reason. Sometimes this is the network itself, but sometimes I'm convinced this is the adapter as taking it out then plugging it back in works again. To me this would seem to be a software bug, which is often problematic.

perfect for a powerpc g5
I was looking for a wireless adapter for my old PowerPC g5 that runs 10.4.11. This product was one of the few that had drivers that went back so far.I'm glad I brought it, it was quick to install once I located the drivers and works like a treat. Really did revitalise an old machine.

It Works!
I bought this to use with a Mac G4 PPC running Mac OS 10.4.11.The installation was pretty easy.Using the CD that came with the adapter I downloaded and installed the drivers. In the Quick Install Guide it advised going to www.mybolse.com/support/Wireless/index.html#aato download the driver, which was the same as the one on the CD!It took a bit of fiddling to get it all to work and this is what worked. After installing the drivers - which included re-starting my computer. I then needed to SHUT DOWN the computer.TURNED OFF my WiFi router, and DISCONNECTED the cable from the computer. Then PLUGGED the Bolse 300Ms WiFi adaptor into the computer. Then BOOTED UP the computer. Then SWITCHED ON THE ROUTERThen clicked on the WIRELESS NETWORK UTILITY symbol (that had automatically appeared in the Dock - but is also in the 'Applications Folder')And selected AVAILABLE NETWORKS, selected my WiFi networkThen entered the WiFi password into the WIRELESS NETWORK UTILITY > window and clicked on CONNECT.And Hey Presto, it's working! So far so good.
