Review: Great toy best off using with rechargeable batteries - This a great little engine and my daughter loves the way the cement mixer barrel turns and the coal wagon's hopper swings from side to side as it moves. This is a speedy little train compared to the other brio battery trains we have BRIO 33214 Freight Battery Engine . Also what sets it apart from other battery engines is that when the battery dies it slows down a little then stops completely. Our other engines with try and soldier on falling to get up hills etc. I reckon the battery last for a good 4 hours. Rechargeable batteries are a must I recommend these: Duracell Rechargeable Accu HR03 950 mAh AAA Batteries--4-Pack .

**Q: Does this train actually operate on its own or just light up and needs to be pulled along by hand?**
A: It goes itself (when switched on). It's not very fast but it's very strong. My three year old grandson hooks up over a dozen carriages, and it pulls them up over bridges. He loves it.

**Q: How does the spinning wagon spin without a battery?**
A: Presumably the power is transmitted to both wagons from the engine when they're connected.

**Q: Hi will this run on the ikea track? I have invested in whole lot of ikea track and would be a shame. Anyone tried this with ikea?**
A: It mostly likely will. We use ours on a different make track and it works fine. Apparently they are mostly standard size. We have bits and bobs from all different makes and sets with no problems :)

**Q: does this train work on the pointkids wooden train set**
A: It works well on wooden track. We have a Brio track but most wooden track is the same s presume it will work well. My son loves it

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great fun for a 2 year old

Ideal for my 2 year old grandson. He can switch it on and off, reverse and forwards, and put it on the track. He enjoys adding trucks. We have found it can pull quite a few. It is robust enough to withstand his handling. It runs well on a smooth kitchen floor as well as the track and goes just fast enough so he can enjoy watching it. It does eat up the batteries, especially if it runs into a corner somewhere and you don’t notice for a while!
