I'm thrilled to find a solution to my charging problem. I use an LED projector that works on 12v supply to show movies on camp and on boats where there is no AC supply. The internal battery dies after 90 mins - not quite long enough for many movies. I bought a USB DC lead elsewhere but it simply didn't work. No powerbanks I could find had a 12v DC outlet with correct DC jack to fit my projector. I didn't really expect this solution to work, but it does. Interchangeable jacks fit my projector and another item too. It's perfect and seems robust. Even with a relatively small powerbank I already had, it was able to charge the battery and thus will allow me to show full length films anywhere. Excellent bit of kit. Very happy.

I picked up a couple of these to replace bulkier power supplies for things like HDMI splitters and mesh network nodes. It seems to work fine on almost everything except for the primary mesh node. The converter occasionally (happened twice one 4 hours) drops power for a fraction of a second and causes the node to reboot, meaning no internet for two minutes while it restarts. Not exactly the greatest hardship but it gets annoying fast. So while it seems perfect for most other devices you’re trying to power off usb, I wouldn’t suggest running your router or main mesh nodes from it.

Expand your USB power horizons big time! I’d like me you have loads of USB power banks and solar panels and love the idea of off grid power, then this is a must have tool!Allows you to take your 5v USB output and provide upto around 700mA to 9 or 12v devices. Great for making those devices that aren’t mobile, mobile!

Recommend anyone to get one of these, must have in any gadget kit. Get your self an anker power bank and then tons of applications this cable will come in handy with. Worked well with my g-story monitor, hooked to my ps4 and xbox and powered monitor through console and cutting out any need for another power outlet to be used.

Very handy lead due to the usb socket one end and various DC plugs on the other end. I got it to power a battery powered Casio keyboard that didn't come with a power brick, I have loads of old phone chargers around that I could use with this lead, keyboard works perfectly. Quality seems fine for now I'll update if it blows up!

The first time I tried to use this it failed. The output voltage is selectable between 9v and 12v, but it kept dropping to 9v! The switch is obviously fault, so pretty shoddy build quality!... Not impressed at all ☹️

Excellent wee converter! Bought this to power a pocket oscilloscope on 9v and it does the job perfectly. The output voltages are well within spec with no problems so far. Good price and fast delivery, thanks!
