The OXO Good Grips Chopper can handle all these tasks much faster than your chef’s knife. (It’s safer, too.) It features a sharp, stainless steel blade that rotates with every single press of the knob, resulting in perfectly even pieces. Load it up and then just press the knob to start chopping. It’s comfortable and easy to use, and the large catcher cup has convenient measurement markings. Of course, the whole thing comes apart for cleanup. Dishwasher safe.

Review: The best nut chopper I've purchased in 25 years. - I do meal prep one day per week and was tired of the tedious cutting of vegetables and nuts with a knife. I originally contemplated the Slap Chop but after reading many reviews I chose the OXO Good Grips Vegetable Chopper. It hasn't disappointed. I've chopped shelled walnuts and almonds, celery, apples, carrots and even prunes. Everything chopped well although the prunes became a rather sticky mess which made for a dangerous cleaning with the sticky prune residue stuck to the very sharp blades. The cleaning was made safer by soaking the blades in warm soapy water for a few minutes and just rinsing. The size of the pieces are determined by the number of times you push down the plunger. It's much faster and safer than using a knife which feels ideal for when the kids want to help with meal prep or for the elderly who are starting to lose grip strength for holding a knife. The cleaning is to easy. The whole chopper easily breaks down into 5 parts for cleaning and can be reassembled in about 15 seconds without the need of tools. When it's time to store it you just push down the plunger and twist. It's now 1.5" shorter. OXO did a wonderful job making this kitchen tool.

A: It holds 1 cup maximum.

**Q: I have the old version from OxO and hated it. Is this much better for people who had that one also?**
A: I have nothing to compare to, so I can't give an exact answer. However, if you hate your item, you should not buy the same one again.

**Q: Does this work well for mincing garlic?**
A: The blades aren’t really close enough to easily mince something as small as garlic. You could try it. I think it’s better suited to mince larger items, like nuts.

**Q: would this chop cooked pork or beef?**
A: I don’t think so.

What a wonderful chopper. I hurt my hand and need help chopping vegetables. This one is great. Chops onions in small pieces and is easy to use and clean up afterwards. I found this is also time saving which has been helpful. It is well made. Very happy with this purchase.
