Although some people say that this is a perfect gift for twins, please have in mind that these are two very different products!The super soft version is hollow and it's indeed very soft on the touch, while the soft version is quite dense and it's hard when you try to squeeze it.We bought this for our daughter when she started bitting her fingers around 2/3 months old. The soft version is probably too hard for this stage so the super soft is ideally for these first months as she could easily bite and massage her gums.Nowadays her teeth are starting to appear on the surface of the gum so she's starting to use the soft version more often because it's harder and better to bite at this stage.It's meant to be used at two different stages, but not exactly for two different babies (although there's no problem on doing that obviously).Very high quality product with natural rubber and nothing like those bad plastic rings full of BPAs. Highly recommend for any baby!

My little one started teething early at 3 months so finding a suitable teether was a bit of a challenge. I have spent a small fortune on teethers of various styles and Sophie is by far the best. She is easy to hold, has big loops and smaller protrusions for different areas of the gum and makes an apparently satisfying rubber squeaking noise if you chew it just right (please note it is not a 'squeaky toy'). We haven't graduated onto the harder version yet as the very soft version seems to still be doing the trick even with 2 teeth now.I love that she is made from natural rubber and food grade paints so you don't have to worry about the paint rubbing off, which it has a wee bit.In short, I have been very pleased with the very soft Sophie.. she still goes everywhere with us.

Too big for 2 months old. Should be more appropriate for bigger babies.

We decided to buy these two small Sophie instead of the traditional Sophie because our daughter had the traditional Sophie and we wanted different one for our son so our daughter knew she was not allowed to use these one. Small enough for a young baby to hold & use safely and small enough to take out with you. Would also make a beautiful gift. The only thing is I think they are a little too expensive, thus only give 4 instead of 5 stars.

Happyish teething baby. Two nice tethers. Worked wonders on his first two teeth. Finger crossed on the next two.

I bought this set to replace a very soft Sophie teether that I had incorrectly sterilised and it went funny (you should only wash, not sterilise - my fault as it says this on the box). It was perfect when at about 4 months all other teethers where too big to hold onto or fit in her mouth. It is still her favourite now at almost 6 months, so I am glad I have both the very soft for now and the soft for when her teeth come in.
