If you’re into bikes — whether that’s road, MTB or e-bike — then the Muc-Off Disc Brake Cleaner is a bit of an essential. I’ve been using Muc-Off products for years now and they’ve never let me down. This brake cleaner is no exception — it delivers exactly what it promises and does it exceptionally well. The first thing I noticed is how fast and effective it is. Just spray it on, let it sit for a few seconds, and wipe — it instantly cuts through grime, brake dust, and even greasy build-up that’s accumulated over weeks of riding. It also dries fast, leaving no residue and no need to rinse, which makes the cleaning process super quick and hassle-free. One of the big benefits is that it restores brake performance. I had one rotor that had gone a bit squeaky and was feeling less responsive — after using this cleaner, the noise was gone and braking felt much sharper. It’s also safe on all disc brake components — callipers, pads, rotors — so there’s no need to worry about damaging anything. The 400ml can lasts a surprisingly long time too. You don’t need to go mad with it — a little goes a long way, especially if you’re doing regular maintenance rather than deep cleans. The spray nozzle gives you good control so you can direct it exactly where it’s needed. Scent-wise, it’s not as harsh or chemical-smelling as some other cleaners on the market. After finally receiving the brake disk cleaner, I was pleasantly surprised. It's very easy to use. Simply spray on, leave to evaporate then wipe the disks and pads with a clean rag. And after using my bike for the first time since, the brakes have finally stopped squeeling! The only thing I done differently from the instructions on the can was use a small file to clean up the brake pads, as they were surprisingly dirty, and used the cleaner twice on both the pads and the disks. Also, I noticed that the first few times I pulled the brakes they were slightly unresponsive but after a few uses they worked perfectly well. If the squeel comes back I will let people know, but otherwise a highly recommended product! Very satisfied!

For a good while I used the Muc Off dry cleaner, which i find excellent. But as the rain came found I was cleaning bike after every trip and re-lubricating. Decided to try this one. Fantastic. Not messy as some people say, at all. Easy to apply and wonderfully effective. Really pleased, knowing chain not rusting or receiving damage from charging through rough and muddy, sandy, gritty terrain. As suggested it is possible to leave the bike as much as 250 miles without problems. Superb!

Yes, does the job much better than any other disc brake cleaner I have tried. The chemicals used are not as harsh and toxic, either. Used Muc-off to improve the braking and stop squeal on an old BMW motorcycle with ATE brakes - those who are familiar with these brakes will know what I mean as they are not the best in the world. I also had an annoying squeal that was loud enough to be heard by pedestrians. Result: Improved braking and the squeal that I have been trying to get rid of for ages has disappeared. Another reviewer has mentioned that his/her brakes did not work very well after application of Muc-off, but improved on use. I would agree with this, so bed the pads in again with care and ride the bike carefully until everything is working again. It will only take a few hundred yards, though. Very pleased and will definitely buy again. Simples.... :)

Cleans but certainly not fixing contaminated disk breaks. Had to sand the pads in the end. Buying isopropyl is likely cheaper

Fait le même travail de nettoyage que de l'acool isoprypélique (puisque cela en contient) ou que du WD mais ça sent bon ! surtout si vous n'avez pas de garage et que votre hall vous sert de "coin de maintenance" comme moi. Parcontre, et c'est peut etre là que se fait la différence avec le WD ou l'alcool iso', c'est que le produit supprime tout couinement sur les contacts disques / plaquettes / écrou. J'en ai mis sur l'etrier, on dirait qu'il est plus "bling bling" (il est noir), neuf ! :) Produit efficace ! Si vous avez toujours un couinement malgré le produit, il faut vérifier l'alignement entre le disque et l'étrier.

Hace lo que dice; se quita todo lo que la carretera pone en mis frenos y los deja nítidos y sin chillos. No mancha y evapora sin residuos
