the item comes pre-soaked so 70g of water is present which you need to drain, 200g is the weight of the remaining rice.

Q: Is the item sent as shown or the newer white & purple packet which has 16gms of carbs per packet due to new ingredients added?

Hi, the batch I ordered in January was the new type - tastes fine but I use it for dieting and was disappointed with the increase in cals & carbs - they should have left it alone. I am now using a product called Barenaked which is great - some supermarkets sell it, look around for a good deal.

It tells you on the packet. But I have eaten it 3 months past sell by date with no ill effects.

Q: Whats the texture like? I’ve tried different ones and they have a rubber-like consistency

Yrs it is a bit rubbery but I use rice pasta and noodles and save a lot of calories and with sauce like curry or stir fry you sort of get used to it
