Review: A good upgrade from a stock cooler at a great price. Quieter and cooler. - I bought this for £8.50 to replace my two year old stock cooler and I'm delighted. The tech stuff Cheap Asus motherboard, an FX 6300 turbo boosted to 4.1Ghz (No overclocking. Manufacturer's boost technology). My stock AMD would get really whiny as the temperatures hit 70 degree mark, which was happening a lot during long gaming sessions and getting grating. This took me five minutes to install. It's pretty simple on an AMD board. The thermal paste is already applied, just be careful not to accidently remove it by touching the bottom of the heatsink! You need a star head or small flathead srewdriver to loosen one of the clamps. Clamp the stiff side on first. Then place the second clamp in place and tighten the screw til you are satisfied it's on sturdy. Plug in your fan. That's it. If you installed only a stock cooler in the past, this'll take you five minutes and you're good to go. Results? Even when running CPU stress tests such as Prime95, my CPU never goes above 64 degrees. The fan on the heatsink is quieter than my case fans. You may get some decent results with overclocking. It's not an option for me because I don't trust my motherboard won't fry. If you are thinking of major/extreme overclocking, look elsewhere. At more expensive options. It'll be worth the better results. This is a solid replacement for an AMD stock cooler. It cools better and is much more quiet. I highly recommend this to anyone using the AMD stock cooler currently. Even if you aren't too tech savvy. Watch a Youtube video on replacing AMD stock coolers, read the instructions to replace. 10 minutes work max. A great, cheap upgrade imho.
Review: Silence at last! - My 5 year old PC had become so noisy that it sounded like a plane was flying through my home whenever it had to do anything even slightly demanding such as playing an HD video. I knew it was the CPU fan so I replaced it with this one and it works brilliantly. It's silent even when under full load for several hours and it was easy to install even though it's the first time I've ever replaced this part. The temperatures are good too, around 28 idle and up to 73 under full load, usually levelling out around 65 degrees. For the low price you can't beat this and I think it's great even for heavy users such as myself who do hours of video encoding per week. My PC is now so quiet and cool I could even sleep in the same room as it which would have been impossible before.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cheap effective cooler but beware install
*by F***N on 21 March 2018*

This is probably one of the cheapest AM4 coolers from a known brand. If you've spent all your money on other items you could do worse than buying this - comparative to the standard AMD Wraith cooler (!) Using it with a Ryzen 2600 (65W) and works well - almost no noise but perhaps not for higher (Ryzen 1700/2700+ 95W) wattage. It is entirely made of aluminium, no copper whatsoever - and the base is a bit rough; it even has pre-applied MX4 so if you somehow don't have any paste then again you could do worse. Note that while it fits well in a not tall desktop mATX case (e.g. Silverstone Milo) it is still a big chunky and might just squeeze through. The fan is fine but due to non-standard mount if it dies you cannot just clip a new 92mm fan. But for the cost what can you expect? The biggest issue is that I absolutely hate the AM4 standard "plastic bracket" install - and I would not advise trying to "clip it on" as per instructions; best loosen the bracket screws, clip the cooler and then tighten them back. I tried the "recommended" install and broke the plastic mainboard clip! Even AMD has moved away from this with some of their coolers screwing directly onto the baseplate. Still for the price it seems great to me best use the money for that expensive DDR4 memory...
