A good last stage product
I’ve been looking for something quick to use for in-between major car cleans and my internet research pointed me towards Sonax BSD. A few weeks ago I clayed and hand polished the car. It must have been looking good as it attracted a couple of comments from friendly passers-by. Anyway since then we’ve had a bit of rain and the usual accumulation of dust and grime has appeared and taken the shine right off it. After a quick wash and towel dry I went around the whole car with this product and a couple of micro fibre cloths. It did a great job and the car was looking absolutely mint again. It took around 20-25 minutes to go around a hatchback at a leisurely pace, including the roof and paying attention to detail. I used one cloth to apply and had a couple of fresh ones on hand to buff off. It has a pleasant smell and is generally nice to work with in my opinion. A lot is made about this product being tacky. I suppose it is, but only relative to similar sprays that are super slick. It’s not that bad. The spray nozzle doesn’t help as it’s more of a squirt than a spritz so you’ve got a very uneven distribution before you even put cloth to panel. Use sparingly and build up slowly would be my advice. I applied Sonax BSD a week ago and the car is still looking good. It seems to be fairly versatile as I cleaned my composite door with it too. For the price it’s definitely worth a try to see if it works for you. It’s exactly what I was looking for - something quick to top up the shine and last longer than a day or two. Recommended. Update- So according to my purchase history I bought this bottle 3 years ago. I’ve just bought another. In the intervening years I’ve used it to great success, however these days I decant it into a fine spray bottle and mix it 1:1 with water. This is the best way to apply it in my opinion. I don’t use it every time I wash the car (sometimes I’ll use a wax) but out of all the products I’ve used the combination of shine, water beading and longevity is outstanding.

Insane
Having tried every product sold in the popular high street car shop, I have over the past few years been trying lots of different products off amazon. I've got 3 vehicles that I try 3 different products at once on. I've always done the t-cut and Carnauba wax and the cars look great after hours of graft.. However.. I treated one vehicle with a armour ceramic liquid wax, one with TW wax it wet and one with this product, all after washing. All looked just as good as when I wax the cars, all were fairly easy to apply. None were any better than the others at producing a showroom shine, they all looked the same. Which is what I would expect given that's what they all claim. The ceramic comes in a small bottle and almost all gone on 1 vehicle. The TW wax it wet, over half a bottle gone. This Sonax I used about 15% of the bottle on 1 vehicle. So value for money it's winning. After a month and 2 washes, the TW no longer beaded the rain water. After 2 months and 4 washes the ceramic no longer beading rain water, though noticeably lasted longer than the TW. After 2 months and 2 washes the Sonax is like i had just first applied it. Only 2 washes because it didn't get as dirty as quickly as the other 2 vehicles. So i coated one side of one of the vehicles in the sonax and one side in TW to see if there was any difference on the vehicle experiencing the same road usage. Yep, the sonax side beads like mad, there are no bugs on that side and it's definitely not as dirty. After years and years of trying different products, i am now without any doubt sticking to this one. Washing the car seems to only take 10 minutes now because the dirt wipes off so easy. It looks like you've just polished it after it's cleaned and it was still like that after 2 months. The bonus is that it only takes 10-15 minutes to apply and you don't need much either. It's a win win situation. Now it's not perfect I will admit. The ceramic did make the black plastic look like new for 6 weeks, which this sonax doesn't, so I will use the ceramic on the black plastic for now. Also, the sonax will highlight any minor scratches that the ceramic seems to cover up, and they tend to be to be scratches in the lacquer, so if any do appear, just needs a little time spent t-cutting them to get rid of them. Overall this product whatever it is, out performs all the others really well, and so easy to apply. No more days wasted polishing and waxing the car, when I can do it in 15 minutes with this, with the same if not better result.

Excellent
Really impressed with this stuff. Normally use aero cosmetics wash and wax all, but that’s sky rocketed in price is hard to get hold of these days. Washed my car and rinsed off, then applied BSD a panel at a time, really glossy look once buffed off. Even good on windows

Not bad at all.
I read quite a bit on detailing websites which pointed me to this product. A lot of rave reviews which I'm always cynical about, but it's only 20 quid, so I took a punt. I don't have the time that a lot of enthusiasts get to keep going over my cars with different coats of wax, then a sealer etc and have got used the once a month application of Autoglym Super Resin, topped up with gloss protection now and again. I applied it to three cars, my workaday, high miler, used and abused out all weather's 17 year old Merc estate, the wife's prisitine low mileage Chrysler Crossfire and my Sunday best, hi-days and holidays Aston Martin. Since applying the Sonax over the old, scuffed paint of the Merc about a month ago, there's still a shine there, not as sharp as the day I put it on, but definitely lustre that'd be long gone with my Autoglym products. I've done about 2000 motorway miles, through a bad weeks weather in the middle of London. The water and a lot of the dirt are still beading off very well. The Chrysler has done a few hundred miles, through some rain and lives under a car port, I applied the Sonax a month ago and haven't touched it since and the black paint is mirror like and looks like it was done yesterday, but what really sold me was the finish on my Aston. Kept in a garage, not quite wrapped in cotton wool, but close, I had previously applied a good Swissol wax and it shone pretty well anyway, but after taking a little care and doing one panel at a time, it shines better than any other time in the seven years I've had it. So, don't believe all the hype, I can't see it lasting more than three times longer than the old Autoglym regime I used, but in a real world, daily use situation and at this price point I'd recommend it.

End result nice shiny car
haven't really used it as a detailer, instead used more as a final coating after its been washed. Washed the car, sprayed this stuff onto it, wiped it on and then wiped back off with a clean microfibre cloth. End result nice shiny car, but thats not the end of story, one day later and out on a construction site and that was the car dirty again! Decided to test this stuff out so went to the jet wash where with a quick blast of water i had a clean car again! No need to use soap, no brushing or sponge required - the car is spotless again. The water bead off the car is hard to believe its so strong, the water flies off the car - taking the dirt with it. I have also used it on the alloy wheels and again it makes a massive difference. So impressed with this stuff i will also be applying on the side windows and rear window (aquapel is on the front windscreen), the water shed from this stuff seems better than Rain X.

Head and Shoulders above other products
Had to return Amazons as no free towel and no way to complain- ordered from marketplace and I was blown away by this stuff. In the past I have used Greased Lightening, Demon Shine pink spray and some blue Turtle Wax rinse rubbish especially made for Halfords. The Demon Shine was quite good. I bought this detailer but wanted to wax first - the weather was too bad to wax the car so one day I had just washed the car and thought I would try this on the bonnet. I didn't dry the car after washing but just sprayed some SONAX onto the bonnet and dried it with an old bath towel. It wiped off easily to leave a brilliant streak free shine. The paintwork didn't feel slick like when you polished but looked great, so I did the whole car in 10 mins. A few days later the car was filthy so I started to hose it off and the dirt just washed off with the hosepipe and beaded like crazy. I have never seen anything so water-repellent on car paintwork. 90% of the dirt came off with the hosepipe and when I used the sponges it came of much easier than usual. Next time I will buy the 5litre container. It smells really nice too.

A little squirt wins every time
Having been brought up in an era where polishing the car meant 'if your arm doesn't ache after the first panel, you're not doing it properly', this product was a revalation. Spending twenty years repairing car bodies, I've seen and tried various quick and easy products but usually they didn't work well or didn't last. This stuff does both, simply spray it on fairly lightly, smear it around the panel and wipe off any excess, so simple. Even more impressive is the resulting shine and water beading ability, the first time it rains after applying the product it's worth checking it out. The water forms lakes in any valleys on the car as the water beads and runs down off the high points. Don't make the mistake of applying too much or applying too often, I've found it doesn't need a fresh application every time the car is washed. I've certainly never used a product that works as well for such little effort, so unless you're a masochist put the traditional waxes back on the shelf and get squirting.

Really good
This is one of my favorite paint care products and it's quite versatile. Undiluted, it can be used as a spray wax/sealant and will offer a few weeks of protection and good water beading but you'll need to spray one panel at a time, spread the product, then buff it off before moving to the next or it will blob and smear as the product is quite thick. For use as a detailer, I would recommend diluting 1:1. My favorite use however is diluted 1:2 as a drying aid on a protected car. Just spray the whole car after washing while still wet and then dry as usual. Your drying towel will glide over the paint which reduces swirling and you'll also be topping up your paint protection at the same time for that "just waxed" look after each wash. I am not a fan of the sprayer though as it tends to squirt rather than mist the product so I use it in a different spray bottle.

Saluti.

Good product. After applying, vehicle shining is on next level. Even after washing (without any shampoos) with water only ….it looks as good as first time
