Must read - Steamy and a little thrilling!
This was such an interesting story in the Lancaster series. I got sucked into the world quickly, and I finished the series over the weekend. I'm keeping it simple here, don't want to give too much away.I love Perry, he is a total sweetheart. While his family is known to be ruthless, Perry is actually the nicest of the clan. But don’t mess with his girl, because his protective side comes out and he can be pretty ruthless.Book 1 - Perry and Charlotte are promised to each other in a deal their parents cook up. Charlotte figures this is her way out. At first she just hopes that Perry can get her out of her bad situation and suggests that they go their separate ways after a period of time.Perry is happy with that suggestion because he isn’t really looking to settle down. Especially with Charlotte, who is nothing like he envisions for his future. These two are oil and water, but their chemistry is instant. They can’t fight how easy it is for them to like and fall for each other. These two are smokin’ in the bedroom. But you don't get that until the end of the book!Book 2 - Once Perry and Charlotte give into their feelings and start a sexual relationship, they don’t stop. It was hot!! The past does come back to bite them in the butt, but they stay strong and stand together.Book 3 - Perry and Charlotte relationship continues to grow and get strong. They are finally in love at this point. I loved their sweet HEA!If you’re into the Lancaster world, I will tell you that Perry is more Crew than Whit. While he is a little possessive and dominant, he is nowhere near the alpha-a-hole Whit is.

Perry steals the show
𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘙𝘦𝘭𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘉𝘳𝘪𝘥𝘦 by Monica Murphy •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲: The Constantine and Lancaster families have signed a marriage contract. Charlotte and Perry have no interest in getting married, especially since they don’t know each other. However, they agree to go along with the ruse their families have planned anyway. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: I enjoyed this book! I was a big fan of Perry in K Webster’s Cinderella trilogy because I thought he was hilarious. That continued into this book and I’m so happy! Perry is a mama’s boy BIG TIME and I loved seeing him start to come into his own a bit more. Him and Charlotte are a pretty unlikely pair, but I loved how their relationship developed. This series is in the Midnight Dynasty shared world so you will see character crossover with several other series by several other authors. You can read them in any order, but I’d personally suggest this one after the Cinderella trilogy. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••#romancereader #teacherswhoread #bookreviews #happilyeverafter #bookrecommendations #bookreview #selfcare #reading

I LOVE ARRANGED MARRIAGE STORIES!!
EXCELLENT AUDIBLE NARRTION!!Perry Constantine and Charlotte Lancaster have been told buy there very powerful and wealthy families that they have arranged for them to be married. The two have never meet and they protest. Their obligations to their families are strong. So, they meet and go along with what their families want. What made give the 1st part of the 3rd part of Arranged Marriage trilogy 4 stars instead of 5. Well, it was the way Charlotte was written. Charlotte was mentally and physically abused by her very rich and powerful father. She wants to leave and decides she will willingly marry Perry. But changes her mind on so many things. She is not constant in what she what's to do. Even after Perry finds out how bad her father treats her and he tries to protect her she still hesitates too much. She soon gets it together. Of course, this type of trilogy ends on a cliffhanger which I hate.Recommendation to those who read this review. Check Out Stella Gray Arranged Series Bk. 1 The Deal Its and Excellent trilogy!! Great Storyline and its very sensuous too!!

I am here for Perry and Charlotte!
4.5 ⭐️ Ahhh, god I ate this up. Like devoured it in hours. I probably could’ve read this story for 600 more pages. I adored Perry in K Webster’s Cinderella trilogy, and I absolutely melted for Crew Lancaster and Whit Lancaster from Monica’s other books so this was like merging two of my favorite worlds into just such deliciousness. Charlotte and Perry are being forced into an arranged marriage with each other after Charlotte had some wild escapades while in Paris, and the Constantine’s are, of course, using Perry to merge the two powerhouse families together. Gah, the way Perry is so perceptive of what Charlotte needs just made me 🫠. I liked Charlotte’s internal monologues and how she even confused herself with her constant contradictions. Anywho, the story plays out leading up to the wedding day, until the morning of, when a person from Charlotte’s past reappears and threatens to ruin everything. *end book* AHEM, if you haven’t read about the Constantines or Lancasters yet, please do yourself a favor and pick up a book featuring this family. Monica absolutely killed it with this slooow burn, this book is not super spicy by any means but each interaction was executed perfectly.

incomplete - story is unfinished
It’s still not clear why their families wanted their arranged marriage, but I was liking the main characters, Perry and Charlotte. But then the book just ended without the story being finished. You have to get the next book. Since there’s a 3rd, I’ll assume Book 2 will end similarly. Even books in a series should be a complete story. The abrupt ending was irritating enough that I probably won’t continue the series.

Slow, short, no development
I like Monica Murphy’s books but for some reason, this was one of her worst. It was very repetitive.Characters were really one dimensional and SPOILERS NOWIf I read one more time about ‘the guy in Paris’ I might have thrown the book out the window. Kept saying how she ‘messed up’ and made a big mistake in Paris, but actually, she was with a guy who had a gf so she left. Big deal. One minute Perry and Charlotte wanted to get married for convenience, the next they didn’t want to be near each other - then they have S__ and the book ends with the Paris guy shoehorned in.I found it boring, too short and overly descriptive. Even the dialogue was flat. I’ve never known a book to just be a long, slow build up to the wedding based on boring events where nothing happens but the odd touch of a hand.I hate giving bad reviews but save yourself some time. I downloaded it because it was free but don’t want to read the next two in the series, despite being left on a cliffhanger.Don’t bother. Sorry!

Won't be reading the next
Slow to start. Charlotte is bland but the chemistry between her and Perry is strong. I just started to get into the story and it ended. The feud with the morellis is not explained so the "cliffhanger" worthy reaction wasn't really worth it. I'm not invested enough into this storyline to justify the astronomical price of the second half of the book. Because the next book is only half a book. Gahh why do authors keep doing this. If they were both full length novels with cliffys I would understand but these are two half books. Stupid.

Just Ok
I don’t know exactly what it was about this book that just bored me, but I was. I was dissatisfied with the Lead Male, he was just a bit to wet behind the ears. I was so indifferent about Xharlotte and the pov change only works when we are getting different information for the plot to develop rather than just the same chapter with male or female pronouns.

An arranged marriage at its best 💙❤
Loved this story, I fell in live with the Lancasters after I found Whit in Everything I wanted to say but never did, been hooked ever since, this story was frustrated me at first , I was really wanting to throw my kindle in parts thinking who the heck does Charlottes dad think he is forcing her into a marriage she doesnt want or need, but then you meet Perry and it explains it all, hes so swoon worthy , im in love with him already , cant wait to see how this story progressed with book 2.

Sexy & modern arranged marriage 💑
When I found out this was Perry's story I had to start reading straight away! I loved him in Stroke Of Midnight and wanted to see what happened to him in the future. I'm also reading Things I Wanted To Say so was also looking forward to meeting more of the Lancaster family. I really enjoy Monica's writing and will be reading The Ruthless Groom when it releases!
