I have 3 rescue kittens (ages 18, 17 and 8 weeks old) who have been eating these kibbles along with Felix Kitten As Good As It Gets wet food and Whiskas Cat Milk (once weened from specialist milk provided by my vet) since they came into my care. Within a week of eating these I noticed a shine to their coats, their health improve, good weight gain and fantastic growth, especially considering how young these little ones were when they came to me as they should not have been away from their mothers at such young ages. Veterinary checks have also shown they have been putting weight on correctly and at good speed on this diet with their teeth being very clean. A little personal, but I have also noticed a greater consistency and less smell in their poop since they have began this kibble in comparison to the very cheap biscuits they were fed beforehand at a rescue centre. A 2kg would last roughly 3 weeks at present with my 3 kittens which includes mixing this into their wet food and keeping 2 bowls out throughout the day for them to nibble on. Wouldn't dream of moving my kittens over to any other brand of dry food and they will be moved to the Royal Canin sterilized kitten kibble once they are spayed to ensure their weight remains consistent, especially so as they are all indoor cats. It may seem more expensive than supermarket available dry food brands but it is definitely worth every penny for your cats physical health and growth when the ingredients for this are compared to other brands (high real meat/protein content, little "filler" carbohydrate ingredients).

**Q: How long do these stay fresh for once opened? My kitten only has 2 bowls a day and rarely eats it all. I'm looking at getting the 4kg if it'll last?**
A: My kitten was exactly the same and this food sorted it completely! It does go up to twelve months but if you get the cat steriled they don't need the same intensity in fat and protein the kitten food has, but royal canin as do others offer sterilized cat food too! Has the kitty been to the vets, maybe worth a check!

**Q: Hi what is the expiry date on the 10kg Royal canin kitten dry food?**
A: I no longer have the packaging now for the kitten food, but as mine are now adults (just), I bought an adult one recently and that has an expiry of Oct 2017

**Q: Does this come with a scoop (or similar)?**
A: There is no scoop or anything else.  We weighed a small container, without biscuits first, then added them, to find the right size and level.   We use these small basins all the time now and found some dishwasher safe ones

**Q: Is this food human grade?**
A: Not that I am aware of but Royal Canin is a highly recommended brand and is supported by vets. They even have their own vet specialty brands which my cat has now. There was nothing wrong with this food, but she had a really funny tummy when she was really little and the vet royal canine stuff worked. Check out the Royal Canin website or ask your vet. Maybe they know if it's human grade or not.

This Royal Canin Kitten dry food has been excellent so far and the quality is exactly what I’d expect from Royal Canin. The kibble size is ideal for kittens - small enough for them to eat comfortably while still having a good crunchy texture. My kitten took to it very quickly, which says a lot about the taste and palatability. He seems genuinely excited for feeding time and have had no issues adjusting to it.
