Does this spring have a dimple at one end to enable it to sit in the elongated groove of the scissors arm and so prevent spring slipping out

Definitely not original part ,no dimple on the end of spring, disappointed.

Would this fit a knife from 1986?

The Large Scissors size is unchanged back to before 1986 I believe.I think you will be OK but there is a smaller knife with smaller scissors - beware.

Hi, does anyone know if this will fit a Swiss army knife huntsman?

What is the "huntsman" knife? These springs are cheap enough; try it!!

Will this fit a Champ from before 1995?

I cannot be sure as mine was purchased around 1997. I think all the springs for the scissors from the Champ range are the same.
