SNOWIE Little Snowie Max Snow Cone Machine (6-Stick Kit, White)

I've been debating on picking up the Little Snowie for some time now, and finally decided to pull the trigger instead of buying a cheaper machine. Texture, not quite like snow, but very close. Maybe twice the thickness of snow, most other machines seem to be about 10x the thickness of snow. So while not quite as good as fresh snow, it's very close, and beats out any other machine that I've seen. This is probably every bit as good as the professional machines, but doesn't require the use of custom ice molds. Ease of Use: 5/5 Product Quality: 4/5 Cost: 4/5 Snow Quality: 4.5/5 Noise: 1/5 Overall I love the product and would highly recommend it if you're interested in doing snow cones or slushies. My favorite thing to do with it is grab a cup of ice, dump it in, grind the ice (red dixie cups work great, my other cups have smaller rims that don't quite fill up the space and result in ice spewing out a little). It's crazy fast and easy to use, within about 10 seconds it will grind my glass of ice into snow, then I pour my favorite Orange Juice brand into the snow, and I get a nice Orange Slushie (one of my favorite things). But it doesn't require any prep-work, just grind and go, I love it. Cleanup is a breeze, I basically just let it air dry. The snow quickly melts and drips off, then just let it dry it out on the counter, if you wanted to speed up the process simply wiping it down with a dry towel would do the trick. The only real downside to this machine is how loud it is. It is extremely loud, but only for a few seconds, then you're done. I don't find the noise to be a huge issue, but it would be nice if they could insulate the sound a little so it isn't quite so loud. That being said, I would highly recommend it, even at the seemingly expensive price. The ease of use and convenience make it worth the price for me. And while it is made primarily out of plastic, there is nothing that feels weak or like it would break anytime soon. I plan on getting regular use out of mine for a long time to come. If you're sitting on the fence, debating on getting this product or possible one of the less expensive products that sounds similar, then hopefully this review will help you decide on which way to go. I don't think you will regret picking up the little snowie, but you may regret picking up the cheaper competitor products once you see first hand how large the ice grinds are.

It’s not the cheapest, but it is so easy to use and creates great shaved ice. I’m glad I went with it over the budget options. I particularly love that it uses normal ice cubes; no special mold to remember to freeze. The kids are thrilled. And I am too, honestly! It will pay for itself rapidly given the cost of the shaved ice trucks.

After several days of researching different machines, reading reviews, technical specifications and all of that, I finally settled on purchasing this Little Snowie 2. The reviews were favorable and mentioned things that I was looking for in a shave ice machine. I also watched a few videos on YouTube from customers as well as the company itself and I was impressed with the ease of use, durability and simplicity of the machine. I admit, the ones made out of "industrial grade stainless steel" seem most impressive, however the comments in the reviews is what caught my eye on this one, and those positive comments are not without warrant. I am working in Afghanistan, it is nearing the hottest time of the year and with the current condition of the world (2020) we are not able to travel at leisure as yet. I usually get me some shave ice when I go home, but not so this year. I know the price tag may look discouraging, but it was worth it. It shipped here in a good amount of time, it was packed well and was not damaged. It worked perfectly right out of the box. I used ice bullets from the tabletop ice maker we have in our office, normally the ice maker would not be able to keep up ice production to make 10 snow cones in a row so I actually had started saving ice from the machine about 5 days prior so that everyone in our department could have one. The machine was easy to clean and I let it sit out with the top cover open to dry out If you do not abuse the machine, it looks and feels like it will last several years and you can purchase a replacement blade from the company when you need to. I set up a large metal cooking sheet to contain spills and drips from melting ice and then put the machine up on a large plastic food container to give better clearance for moving the cups in and out of the machine. The machine came with 6 powder flavor sticks, the "snow shovel" spoons and two reusable bottles to mix the powder syrup and two pour spouts. I also purchased several bottles of other syrups, like coconut, green apple, fruit punch and passion fruit puree. I like to have my shave ice the way they make it at home in Hawaii, with ice cream in the bottom of the cup, put the shave ice on that and pour the syrup over the ice, then top the whole thing with sweetened condensed milk. I am thinking also about buying ingredients to make the Filipino favorite, Halo Halo. The shaved ice came out pretty fine, though I have had finer shaved ice, but this was not the crunchy type of ice. The syrup soaked up nicely on the ice and did not all flow down to the bottom of the cup. It makes a full paper coffee cup size (grande) shave ice in a few seconds. I say a full hopper of bullet ice makes at least two of this size. My co-workers were happy and had nothing but good things to say about the cool treats. My next project using this machine will be virgin Pina Colada's. The machine was easy to clean and I let it sit out with the top cover open to dry out

We had to wait longer than expected for the Snowie but we're all very glad we did, it was 100% worth the wait!! It's the best Hawaiian ice machine, makes perfect snowcones every time, easy to use and adds fun to our days! We absolutely love our Snowie Max and highly recommend!!

I recently ordered a Snowie 2 after careful consideration. I read several reviews indicating great company support of this shave ice unit, and was the primary consideration for my purchase. This is because I live overseas and returns via mail are expensive. Before I received the Snowie 2, Jared from Snowie LLC was inquiring about the machine and how I liked it. Proactive support by Snowie LLC. Upon receiving the Snowie 2, I inspected it and proceeded to try and make a shave ice. I could not as there was a technical difficulty with the motor. I left a message with Jared concerning the issue and he responded immediately and after explaining to him the problem. He immediately offered to send another machine at their expense. They were going to send a return label, but after understanding hardship of returning the unit back to the USA from Panama, they decided I would not have to return the defective machine. I cannot say enough on how great this technical support from Snowie LLC is. I’m very happy with their belief in the product, and the customer support. If you’re in the market for a light duty ice shaver from a great company specialized in producing commercial ice shavers. Then look no further. I certainly will not look anywhere else. I will post a further review on the actual performance of the Snowie 2, once I receive the replacement Snowie 2. After receiving the new machine and making a shave ice cone. I will give everything a 5 star review. Thanks Jared!!!👏👌!! The Snowie 2 produces a blizzard of finely shaved ice out of the chute. It made a cone as fast as any of our commercial machines. We have Echols microflake and Gold Medals finest Hawaiian ice Shaver. The ice quality was perfectly acceptable unless you wanted block shaved ice which can be fluffier, but takes longer. This little unit is perfect for the intended use, small parties. It’s fast, shaves ice cleanly and fast. The flavors were very good. My 5 star rating cover the machine quality, machine performance and especially the company support. Would I recommend buying one? Without a doubt!! Just remember it’s intended use and you have a machine that produces commercial quality shave ice at home. KUDOS to Snowie LLC!!!

I have been looking for a nice, sturdy, snow cone machine. I don't need bells and whistles, just a machine that will easily shave my ice. I love that I don't have to freeze blocks of ice to make this work. My ice cubes work wonderfully. It's easier for me to shave the ice into a bowl versus putting a cup into the clear dome and filling it that way. As I initially used a cup similar to the video, I found I got a lot of snow shooting out of the funnel instead of into the cup. But using a bowl to collect your shaved snow is easier. Afterwards, just scoop it into a serving dish and add your flavor. When you turn it on, don't be surprised by the machine being loud, and make sure you have a good solid hold on it when you press down the lid on top to crush the ice. If you're not used to it, it can be a little startling (it's very loud, and will lurch if not securely held) .After that, it's very easy to use. My husband turned into a little kid when he saw all of the snow this little Dynamo produced. In fact, it comes out like SNOW. I could easily make snowballs with it for a Summer snowball fight. This machine can easily save me a ton of money in Water Ice for the Summer. Since I've only just started using this, I'll update as time goes by. But so far so good!

I finally got smart and bought my very own Little Snowie Max Snow Cone Machine. During the warmer days of the year you could always find me at the local snow cone shop, or one of those trucks that sell the shaved ice cones with flavored syrup. And I would pay $6.00-$7.00 for a snow cone. Then I saw this fancy little Snowie Max Snow Cone Machine here on Amazon and Bam! I ordered it! You know, for the price of the Little Snowie if you just make a mere 25-30 snow cones you would pay for it. And the ice is just like snow, too. It takes regular ice cubes which you place in the top of the machine, then position your cup under the clear cover and press the start button. The clear round cover over the shoot is what you use to form the round top of the cone when the ice comes out into your cup. What could be more simple?? This machine is just a smaller design of the one that the professionals use in their trucks and shops. The shaved ice really IS just like snow and you can experiment and create unlimited flavors. You can buy the pre-made syrups at the grocery, or make your own simple syrup and add the flavor to it. And not just cones, you can make slushes, too. And my grandkids love this machine. Want to make your kids popular with their friends? Buy them one of these Little Snowie machines and invite their friends over! The machine is very durable and comes with a warranty.

I bought this for my 11 year old son for Christmas and to be honest, I wasn’t expecting much of it, however, we’ve all been pleasantly surprised at how great this snowball maker is, especially for the price! This little guy is a work horse. It made it through Louisiana’s, hot as hades, summer without one hitch and we put plenty of miles on this thing! It has an unbelievably strong motor and has powered through at least 2 dozen pounds of ice. And this is NOT a complaint, but I wasn’t prepared for how loud and aggressive it is when it’s making the snow, so don’t think you’re going to be holding a bunch of conversations when it’s working unless you plan on yelling. In hindsight, I should’ve known better and not been so shocked, because..duh! It’s grinding down ice! Anyway, it makes the PERFECT snow ball style ice that we love so much down here in the Deep South. It’s not like snow-cone ice that is coarser and crunchier where all the syrup sinks straight through to bottom when you pour it. The ice this machine makes is fine, very soft, and pillowy which is exactly what we were wanting. It’s very easy to use and straightforward. After a little instruction and lecture in safety, I feel confident in letting my son use it on his own. The motor has a safety stop/start mechanism where it only runs when there’s ice and the lid is closed. When you open the lid it automatically stops. However, pay attention when using, because the motor is insanely fast and so it makes the snowballs in a very short amount of time. To fill up the snow ball cups that mine included, only took a few seconds each and I do mean seconds, so be prepared to have the next one ready. The plastic it’s made of is much thicker and denser than I expected and it has a good little weight to it, making it feel solidly built. The power cord is also thicker gauged and looks quality made. I paid more and purchased the entire kit which included all of the extra accessories. In addition to the machine, it came with 2 syrup bottles and dispensers, 6 cups and spoons, and a variety of different syrup powders. (We loved the cotton candy the best, but they were all delicious) The only complaints I have are regarding some of the items in the optional accessory kit. I’m not sure if it’s user error (it’s probably user error) but we can’t seem to get the dispenser plug to work right. No matter what angle we hold the bottle when pouring, the dispenser plug leaks all over the place and not a little amount either! We’ve ended up losing quite a bit of syrup due to this problem. Secondly, the shovel shaped spoons..they look like colorful little shallow snow shovels. I understand the whimsy and it’s a cute idea, however they aren’t practical for eating the snowball with and we all resorted to using regular spoons. Finally, the last complaint I have which isn’t really a complaint as much as it is a suggestion; The only thing this little set up is missing are straws to drink the juice with it once the snow melts. I actually double checked the box thinking I surely overlooked them. Sadly, no straws to be found. So Come on little snowie! Make us some cute colorful straws! Anyway, this is a wonderful buy, I give it 5 stars, an A+++, 10 out of 10, highly recommend! We look forward to many more years of home cooked snowballs! Ps: I will modify this review and upload a video of it running and making snow next time we use it.

As advertised, you pay for quality you get quality. This does not disappoint. Turns ice cubes into powder. Just buy it!!! Great for slushies as well.
