No fleas yet paws crossed.
This is very hard to review as you can't measure the effectiveness of it very easily as you would have to know if your dog has been attacked by fleas and the product has successfully repelled them. As only 1 in 10 dogs have fleas it may simply be that they have not come into contact with them. However what I can say is i've been using the product for 6 weeks and Erik 9 month old Cockapoo has no problem eating it although I do feed him a completely raw diet which I imagine is very easy to disguise the taste of the herbs etc. Initially at the beginning he did scratch/bite more particularly his back leg that has now stopped. His coat is looking good but that could be the raw food diet, the Mucky Mutt soap (has Neame oil ingredient) or that his coat is filling out after the last owner shaved the poor little thing down to his skin nearly, I got him 2 months ago. What I will say if its working then i'm very pleased because I am seriously allergic to the spot on type products and get serious and painful dermatitis on my hands caused by the main ingredient Fipronil, I only discovered this after our 15 year old cat died and my hands cleared up completely, we used the spot on regularly with him and even the skin specialist couldn't identify the problem after extensive tests. It was only after talking with the Pets at Home shop manager about treatments for the dog we discovered what the chemical was and what it could cause if you were sensitive to the chemical (I used rubber gloves when applying). The other alternative is a prescribed pill treatment that kills fleas rather than repels but that is a lot more expensive and I would prefer to avoid chemical treatment for the dogs benefit. So far so good with Billy No Mates and Erik is the type of dog that is very sociable with other dogs, loves long grass etc so may be more at risk from fleas and ticks I don't really know for sure but I will update this review late Autumn if he stays clear or earlier if he doesn't, I haven't missed one treatment yet so if he does have a problem ill know its not an effective repellent rather than me being careless. If it does work then it is probably the cheapest solution on the market as I think one tub should easily last a year. Update Oct 2015 No fleas and the dog is fine with Billy No Mates and I still have plenty left so I would highly recommend it works out a lot cheaper than other treatments as well especially the spot on type i'm allergic too.

Well worth the money!
I have two dogs, and eight home (well enriched) cats. I live in an area that has foxes, feral cats and rats coming in to my garden. My dogs were forever bring fleas in to my property, despite vet prescribed flea treatments….my cats being more affected than my dogs. Within three weeks of my dogs having Billy No Mates in their food there is no more fleas. My dogs coats are healthy and shining and no more fleas coming into my home. All animals have had monthly, chemical flea treatment, and my house sprayed almost monthly pre Billy No Matez. The herbs do have a scent (it reminds me of curry) and I have noticed my dogs do have an a faint odour of this, but it’s not unpleasant. I have had to introduced wet food into my dogs diets in order for them to eat the herbs. At first they didn’t like the taste, but now their bowls are completely clean! I can’t recommend this product enough, it is now a daily addition to my dogs food (some of my cats love it too!) The bag of herbs (one teaspoon daily) has lasted my dogs just over six weeks- they’re a weight of 10-20kg each and have a teaspoon measurement daily. The herbs do have a fairly long use by date, so they keep for quite a while.

Gradual Introduction
Dislike 👎 the powerful odour of Neem - curry spice smell. Like 👍 the combination of goodies which should help say goodbye to those pesky little critters. Would recommend the gradual introduction as 3 out of 4 hounds had very loose movements when starting on the stated dose. Have reduced by half and tummies have returned to normal🤞 Effectiveness - will have to give this a few more weeks before passing judgment😅 Hopefully I will have very positive review in the future.

My dogs love the taste!
I wanted to change my dogs flea management routine of veterinary prescribed treatment to a natural approach. I have been putting off buying Billy No Mates for a while purely because I have 3 dogs and thought that they wouldn't like the added herbs to their meals. How wrong was I! They love it! This product is well packaged and seems good quality. I followed the recommended way to initially start adding the herbs with some salmon oil and a small amount of water for the herbs to stick to, plus a few pieced of the usual meal. Each bowl was licked clean, to my surprise they seem to very much enjoy the taste. The smell to me isn't appetitive, as I can detect the smell of neem which has a bitter undertone. However, the dogs are not put off at all. The bag (325g) will last me for one month, between 2 Border Collies (20kg and under) and 1 Jack Russell (5kg). Although I have only been giving this to my dogs for under a week, my dogs appear to be scratching less often and seem more relaxed. I would recommend that anyone considering using this natural approach to flea management for their dog, to give Billy No Mates a try. I will be getting more at a later date as it might take several weeks for best results.

It works!
I am very impressed. After removing some 15 to 20 ticks from my dog after a short trip to the Highlands, I realised I had to do more to protect him. I know others who use this product and rave about it so I gave it a try. My dog is a very fussy eater and my biggest fear was that he would refuse to eat any food with Billy No Mates mixed in but it was only the initial feed that he turned his nose up at. I left him without food for a few hours and then gave him the same food again and he ate it immediately. Since then he has eaten his food with BNM mixed in every time and without issues. Since starting using this product my dog has not had a single tick! I wholeheartedly recommend using Billy No Mates.

Great but beware of long bits
It works really well but beware there are very long bits which you should break in half if you see.Other than that neither of my dogs have fleas or ticks so it works really well.
