Rani Organic Kashmiri Chili Powder (Deggi Mirch) 1 lb (16 oz) 454 g Jar - Mild, Low Heat, Rich Red Color for Tandoori, Curry & Deviled Eggs | All Natural, Salt-Free, Vegan, Kosher

Good color and flavor. Arrived promptly. All good!

Been using regular chili powder for years. Never knew to make my Indian dishes I needed a specific one to be "authentic." Flavor is good. Quality is good.

I only learned about this type of pepper recently when I was studying recipes for foods from India and Thailand. This type of pepper popped up twice on recipes that I thought would be excellent recipes to try. Because I grow my own southwestern and Mexican peppers as well as my own basil from multiple varieties (Italy, Africa, Thailand), I definitely know that sometimes the very special experience of a specific recipe is something as small as a single ingredient. So I knew I had to buy this. I have been delighted! Not only do I use it in the recipes I bought it for, I have also used it on things like scrambled eggs, adding a pinch to a sandwich, using it with pasta and tomato sauce, and even dropping some in a lemonade. I can tell you that the friends and family that I’ve cooked for and shared this with even in simple things like pasta have really remarked upon how it has an extra added flair. This pepper is not too hot, but the heat it does have is very short-lived compared to the heat other peppers. It gives way to a very sweet and smoky experience that really is difficult to describe and is exactly why you should buy it and try it.

This is a vivid red, delicious chili powder. Great flavor, freshness and high quality. But it is not “low heat” by American taste. So be warned. It would be comparable to a good spicy Cayenne. But it far surpasses cayenne with a tangy sweet pepper taste. We love it! But be mindful it’s no push over in the heat dept!

Kashmiri pepper is a treat. Lots of flavor. Just a mild kick. Smells so good. Honestly adding to my basic chili, from a girl who grew up a Stagg, thats sayin’ something.

I bought this for making Chicken Tikka Masala. It ads a soft heat and chili flavor that is wonderful for any chili powder recipe. Shipping was fast. Thank you!

Quick shipping on quality product

I have so many exotic spices, I read a recipe - think wow, that sounds good. and order the spice from Amazon. I sure don't cook like ma Mama! This was well packed, smells great - I've only used it once or twice but I think it has a lot of applications besides Indian food. If I recall - last week I got really crazy and sprinkled some on my scrambled eggs. Pretty yummy.

I was specifically looking for a pure chili spice without any additives and was surprised to learn that most grocery store versions contain fillers like cumin, garlic powder, paprika, oregano, and even salt. As I’ve become more mindful about what I feed my family, I started checking labels—even on spices—and realized the “chili powder” I had been buying wasn’t just ground chili peppers. That’s when I discovered this product from Rani. It’s exactly what I was looking for—100% pure chili, with no preservatives, no GMOs, and completely natural. I was impressed by Rani’s 40 years of experience in the spice industry and decided to give it a try. I’m glad I did! The chili is a vibrant color, smells amazing, and adds incredible flavor to our meals—all without any unnecessary additives. Highly recommend for anyone seeking clean, quality spices.

Muy buen sabor!

Did the trick in giving the Rogan Josh dish it's colour and went a long way in helping create the unique taste of the dish.

How great it tastes
