Can I use it to cast jesmonite plaster? Will it it stick to cured jesmonite cast?

yes you need to use Bonda Release APW Soft Wax - Mould Release GRP ,it will stick to it .

Does this clay has a strong smell? Thank you

It has the characteristic oil based clay smell but we wouldn't say its a strong smell in our opinion.

How do I know wether to get hard or soft clay? It doesn’t make sense to me what the meaning of soft and hard is for

(at room temperature) the soft version as you would assume is a soft material and pliable / easy to manipulate with the hand and fingers, the hard is more suited for carving with clay tools etc, the medium falls somewhere inbetween.
