Is anyone use this international (Europe) for hand carry?

I have not yet used it for Europe in my carry on bag, but have used it for Mexico in my carry on without any issues.

Is the plastic sort of hard so it doesn't squash down? Or does it take only as much room as what is put inside?

The plastic is rather sturdy… Very nice!

I just realized i ordered the stripped ones and not clear, will this be an issue at tsa?

I don't believe it will be an issue. There is no mention of what the bag must look like, only it's size. - You are allowed to bring a quart-sized bag of liquids, aerosols, gels, creams and pastes in your carry-on bag and through the checkpoint. These are limited to travel-sized containers that are 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) or less per item.

Do these bags come with a bad chemical odor?

I wish I could answer for sure, but I don’t remember… I think there was a “plastic” odor…I always wipe items of this type of material with vinegar and water and air dry… I’ve used these bags for traveling and sports venues- they’re sturdy and just the right size
