I've got a pretty thick head of hair so the first time I used it I didn't listen to the "a dab'll do ya" thing and used way too much and it left my hair greasy and really wet looking which I didn't like. The next time I used it I tried using just a small dab and massaged it all throughout my hair and it left my hair looking shinier and a bit darker than normal without being greasy, it just left my hair looking very healthy and natural and extremely soft to the touch and I love it! Usually when my hair dries after a shower it becomes really dry and frizzy but if I put a small dab of Brylcreem in my hair it will weigh the hair down a bit taking the dryness and frizzyness away and leaving me with a soft, shiny and really healthy looking hair. The slogan is true, a dab'll do ya... unless you want your hair looking and feeling greasy (which I don't like). Even if you accidentally put in a little bit too much and your hair is slightly greasy it will get less greasy as the day goes on but your hair will still look and feel soft and shiny. I highly reccomend this product and think it should be a stable item in every mans bathroom. As for applying it: I would reccomend towel drying your hair thoroughly after a shower so that it's not wet but a bit damp and then applying some Brylcreem, it seems to be a bit easier to apply to damb hair and you don't seem to need to use as much because the damb hair makes it easier to apply evenly throughout your hair.
