Derwent Inktense Water-soluble Ink Pencils for Arts & Crafts, Tin of 72

Purchased these during Prime sale. I have happily paid full price for Inktense Pencils and so half price was a total bargain. The range of colours in the set provides a great range for landscapes, nature and other types of drawing. The outliner pencil in this set was water soluble even though there was no brush motif on the barrel of the pencil. I think it will still be very useful. Great starter set or to add to existing pencils.

What an awesome find when these were on sale in April 2026 . I usually never find a bargain . These were at the time of purchase £15.85 . Tbh I thought they must have been fakes . So I was apprehensive waiting for their arrival No need to be. They turned all boxed carefully well packaged to find an inner box carton upon removal of this I found a wonder wooden box to store them in .All in tact no a single one broken . I had to just bought the bargain of the century . I have been wanting to invest in these for ages but the price was over £90 at the time a week before . So when I saw them I thought surely they have the price wrong , I smapped it up straight away . Which I had bought the remaining sets for the price amazing quality and even at £90 there still worth it but I’m a tight person lol and would always want stuff for has cheap has I can get it . It has a great colour selection for 48 , They so pigmented and water down nicely . I’d love to buy a bigger set if they ever come down in price . I would recommend these to anybody . 5*

Incredibly easy to use, the colours are very vibrant and intense. My wife assures me that these are the best ones she has ever used. Worth every penny.

This is my first set of Inktense pencils and I'm absolutely blown away - they are so much better than I expected. Now that I've got them I kind of wish I'd bought a larger set but I'd been looking at them for a while but they were so expensive that I didn't think I could justify the price. These then appeared on sale at a very good offer price without which I probably wouldn't have got them in the first place so, hey ho - hindsight eh! Anyway, I might well buy from open stock now to give me a set of colours which will suit my needs and I can buy them a few at a time to reduce the outlay. Definitely recommended - especially if you can get them at this sort of price.

Derwent Inktense Water-Soluble Pencils are undoubtedly a high-quality product, although they come with a slightly higher price tag. One disappointment was the misleading presentation—advertising a set of 24 pencils, yet only receiving 12. Initially, I felt cheated by the discrepancy and considered returning them. However, upon trying them, I was truly impressed. These pencils are exceptionally pigmented and make layering a breeze. Once dry, the colours become permanent, which is a unique and remarkable feature. Their vibrant quality and ease of use are unparalleled, and I'm not aware of any comparable alternatives. Despite the initial frustration, this product won me over and earned my appreciation.

Excellent price for a very good brand of watercolour pencils. Vivid colours that mix well.

These Intense I feel are best for finishing off a project with your choice in Set but The Derwent Intense are amazingly for making sure they are sharpened as oh boy that's when if doing anything by using these I'm honestly sharpening plus making them finish off some of my projects and using them on their own. They are a fabulous pencil. IL defo need more soon.

not much to say about pencils they leave marks, nice tin not hinged, lots of colours.

色鉛筆画に目覚めた勢いで、古今東西の有名どころに一揃い手を出したうちの一つです。 ３万前後というお値段にかなり悩みましたが、どうせ買うならと100色。圧巻の色揃いに持っているだけで満足しそうです。様子見で最初は中途半端な色数を買ってもどうせ買い直すだろうな…と、自分の性格を理解した上で最初から一番色数が多いセットにしました。結果、正解でした。 このほかポリクロモスやパブロやルミナンスやと、10年に一度の大大浪費をしましたので、しばらくは大人しく節約に励みたいと思います（切実） そんなにまだ上手でもないんですが、せっかく買ったのでどんどん使っていこうと思います。というやる気は出ますね、さすがに。

芯は比較的やわらかめだと思います。水に溶かすと鮮やかに変化します。水をたっぷり含ませて筆で塗るとサッと溶けますが、少ないと一塗りでは溶けない部分が出てきます。溶け残りに対しては好みが分かれそうです。私はあまり気になりません。乾くと耐水性になるのと、色が綺麗なので作品の制作にはたいへん便利です。単品販売のお店が少ないため、補充に苦労しています。木箱は品があり素敵です。デザイン・サイズ共に使いやすい設計になっています。

Ich nutze mittlerweile seit über zwanzig Jahren die Derwent Stifte für Porträtmalerei und bin mehr wie zu Frieden damit. Habe mir nach gut einem Jahrzehnt mal wieder ganze Stiftekästen (72er Chromaflow sowie die 72 Inktense im Holzkoffer) gegönnt, da ich ansonsten die Stifte bisher einzeln nachgekauft habe. Beide Stiftearten haben richtig angewandt ihre Vorteile und lassen sich insbesondere kombiniert sehr gut verwenden. Das Portrait von Herrn Hetfield (Bild1) wurde auf strukturstarkem Acrylpapier zur Probe der Stifte gezeichnet. (Habe hierfür auch nur diese beiden Stiftsorten verwendet) Durch die Maserung bei dickem Papiers entstehen i.d.R. viele weiße Stellen, die durch anfeuchten des Auftrages mit den Inktense sehr eben und deckend wurden. Gerade an dem schwarzen T-Shirt lässt sich gut erkennen, wie sauber und eben die Flächen werden. Natürlich ist ein möglichst flächendeckendes "ausmalen" auch Voraussetzung. Da diese Stifte aber auch sehr, sehr cremig sind, sind filigrane Details ehr schwierig. Dafür eignen sich wiederum hier die ebenfalls pigmentstarken Chromaflow, da diese ein wenig härter sind und hervorragend über den Inktense sich auftragen lassen. Der Auftrag erfolgt ebenfalls sehr flächendeckend und es lassen sich selbst z.T. helle Details auf dunklem Grund nachzeichnen. Beide Stiftearten lassen sich auch super mischen und kombinieren. Mit glatterem Papier und ein paar anderen Arbeitsmaterialien ergänzen die Derwent Stifte super das Profisortiment und es lassen sich realistische Darstellungen zeichnen. (Siehe Bild 2 ). Ebenfalls ein dickes plus ist das unschlagbare Preis-Leistung Verhältnis. Im Gegensatz zu anderen "Marken" ist der Preis sehr fair und man bekommt sehr pigmentstarke und robuste Stifte dafür. :) Ein ebenfalls nettes Gimmick ist der Holzkoffer. Die Stifte liegen fest und sicher darin, während die Mienen durch weichem Schaumstoff am Rande vor Bruch geschützt werden. Die Beiden Holzstreben, die mittig die Stifte stützen sind mit Magneten sicher in einer kleinen Schienenführung angebracht, damit auch nichts woanders hinrutscht. Dennoch lassen diese sich gut entfernen und die Stifte einfach entnehmen. Bezüglich Brüche oder Transportschäden kann ich auch nicht klagen, da alles gut verpackt und heil ankam.

Ces crayons offrent un rendu impressionnant, que ce soit à sec ou avec de l'eau. Cependant, choisissez soigneusement vos couleurs et allez-y doucement sur la pression, car la pigmentation est très forte. Le résultat peut parfois ressembler à celui de l'encre ou du feutre, ce que j'apprécie moins par rapport au rendu à l'eau, mais cela reste un avis personnel.
