Wonderful taste, and works a treat in my bread machine!
Makes a really tasty loaf with a great texture - and works perfectly in my bread machine with my regular recipe. I wondered at first if I'd need to adapt the recipe to use this flour - but then tried my normal 'large white loaf' recipe as this basically seems to be white bread flour with added seeds/oats etc. Well, it worked a treat - delicious bread, and at a great price! Have posted a photo of the flour and of my finished loaf - not to show my bread-making skills (which are probably sorely lacking!) but to give some idea of the appearance of a finished loaf. (Apologies for the big hole left my my bread machine paddle, but my family had eaten half of it before I had taken the photo!) I will definitely buy this flour again!

Fantastic!!
I ordered my flour on Sunday; arrived Wednesday by supersaver delivery. Baked my first loaf today, following the recipe on the back of the packet. I did cook it at 200 deg C as I thought the temperature suggested in the recipe was too high. (I have a fan assisted oven.) I used a supermarket brand of fast action yeast. The recipe was a dream and hardly took any time. I just shaped the bread into a round, left it to rise for about 1.5 hours and baked it on a tray. The bread tastes fantastic and has a wonderful light texture with a crispy and yet soft crust. I have used multi grain flours whilst living in Canada, bought from the bulk store, but I have never had such a good result as I have with the Bacheldre flour. This is a real winner and I will definitely be repurchasing from Amazon ... free delivery and an additional 10% off for subscribe and save. You can't go wrong!

Makes a really great loaf.
I've been using their unbleached organic white flour to make my sourdough bread for a while now and it makes excellent bread but quite close in texture. I decided to try this flour as well, as a change from the Dove's Farm or Wessx Mill that I usually use for this type of bread. All the family is impressed - it makes a delcious loaf with a crisp crust and a very light texture. I'll certainly be ordering more when I've used this.

A very good flour - but not whole meal.
A good flour traditionally milled by mill stones driven by water. I believe all the grains are sourced close to the mill.I wrongly presumed that this was a whole wheat flour but in fact it is seeded white which is not what I like to use.The flour is a very off white though so unbleached. Using a Morphy Richards bread maker this makes a good loaf but is soft and doughy and not to my taste as I normally use seeded whole wheat and a spelt flour - both from Bacheldre Watermill. As I had 8Kg of this flour I make it more acceptable by mixing 30% Rye flour with it.Bacheldre Watermill is my preferred supplier of flours and unlike another review here I detest Doves as it is too fine and powdery - probably from a modern mill with steel rollers and modern grains which are nowhere as good as those from a traditional mill.

Nice flour, but extremely poor quality control
It's a nice flour, which produced consistent results in my Panasonic breadmaker. However, I've reverted to Dove Farm's Organic Malthouse. Firstly, because the flour is better tasting, and secondly there would seem to be a real problem with Bacheldre's quality control. Whilst the flour is advertised as being 1 Kg, in my batch of 8 bags, I never had more than 960 grams in a bag, with others considerably less including one at 895 grams. You have to ask yourself that if a company is so slack in controlling quantity what is it like in controlling quality. As I said, not a bad flour, but would not buy again.

Great flour
I ordered this flour to try baking a different loaf. I usually do the three flours from the shops white, brown and wholemeal.WOW ! what a difference. The best bread I think I've baked, taste, texture and smell are fantastic. My youngest daughter had a slice and when she came to visit and went home with a pack. She has since ordered some for herself.I will be trying some of the other flours from this seller and look forward to tasting those to see if they are as good.If anyone is thinking about this flour I would recommend it. You mix, prove and bake it as you would with any bread.

Amazing Flour! Pity the expiry date on 16 kg is next month!
This flour makes the most delicious bread! I buy it when I visit South Wales so I was delighted to find it for sale on Amazon. In great excitement I ordered 16 kg, expecting it to last me a few months. The expiry date on every bag is November 2018. I am furious!

Fabulous and foolproof!
I have had my Andrew James bread maker since Christmas and have tried various flours and recipes since then but I am still a relative novice! I received this flour from Amazon a couple of days ago and made my first loaf yesterday evening. The result was by far the most successful to date - and so easy! 500g Bacheldre Rustic Flour, a little more than the 300ml warm water suggested on the bag (as recommended by another reviewer), 25g butter cut into small pieces and a teaspoon each of salt, sugar and fast acting yeast. I baked it using the basic white programme on my machine. Despite the result being so successful I will experiment next time with a little more yeast as I realised after I had started the baking programme that I had used less than suggested. I highly recommend this flour and will definitely be ordering more in the future as well as trying some of Bacheldre's other flour varieties.
