Great batteries
Battery life is okay, but with so many batteries this isnโt a big issue. Charging time is good and in my experience each can be charged an unlimited number of times with no effect on the battery life.

Good value, exceeds the stated capacity
All 24 batteries exceeded the stated capacity when tested using Youshiko YC5000 charger. They seem to retain charge for at least a few weeks (since I bought and tested them), so the self-discharge seems low. Even if they only lasted half the claimed 1000 cycles (difficult to test to know for sure), these rechargeables are very good value.

Good batteries at excellent price
Like many people I tend to use a lot of AA and AAA batteries. I've tried various manufacturers of rechargeable batteries, but read an independent review that praised these Amazon Basics batteries. I tried some and have been impressed. They seem to last well, and are usable straight out of the box, although with a slightly lower life before requiring a recharge. In fact my understanding is that often these batteries need several recharges before reaching full capacity (just what I've heard, can't confirm). According to my 'smart charger' they are full at 1.48v so almost the same as 1.5v alkaline batteries. I did have one that wouldn't automatically recharge. Normally people throw them away when that happens, however there are several internet videos that show you how to 'kick start' the battery so that it will recharge. I've used the technique on several occasions (for various makes of battery) and it works a treat. From having a seemingly 'dead' battery it recovers to become a fully usable battery again so don't chuck those apparently duff batteries away. Amazon don't like URLs in reviews so you'll have to look it up yourself.

Very good rechargeable batteries
Brilliant batteries, the come well packed and fully charged. I put some in the thermostat and two in the milk frotter, things I use daily and after 3 weeks they are still working perfectly. Very pleased. We'll see how they recharge but as for now I would definitely recommend them.

Do not hold their charge. Drain very quickly
Disappointed how long it takes to charge the batteries but wouldn't mind so much if it was worth it. I found they really didn't last long at all. I use them in a garland and only get 2 evenings and they go really dull and then maybe another evening before having to recharge them. They appear fully charges in recharger but even I if i turn the recharger back on without using the batteries it shows they are only about half charged. Surely they should not loose charge overnight without even being used. I have energize ones as well and notice such a difference. I wouldn't buy again
