my hubby is a big guy at over 6 ft and a 34/34 pant size. so, he needs a big mug. the size, quality, handle and weight are PERFECT for a man that takes care of things. the appearance was his favorite, seeing as his favorite color combo is black and gold. he has yet to break it, but if it manages to test the durability i will be sure to buy again.

This is a great (Big!) coffee cup, but it was a real disappointment at the same time.True, I did not see the line in the description that states "not microwave safe" & so I was excited to try out my new Big coffee cup when I got it.I often heat my coffee an extra 30 seconds to a minute in the microwave if I may not be drinking it right away, and so I filled my cup & stuck it in the microwave to get it extra hot while I started some work, and then Literally the SPARKS began to fly! ...It looked like a sparkler from the Fourth Of July inside my microwave!So I quickly hit the stop button & removed the cup & luckily, no damage done to either the microwave or the cup it seems.I have no idea exactly WHAT is in or on this cup that makes it non microwavable & throw sparks. It would would seem there is something metallic in the finish on the cup or something. ...At any rate, read the fine print on this cup! ...When they say "Not microwave safe" they REALLY mean it!On the positive side, it IS a really nice big ole cup. It measures 5" Tall by 4" wide. And I CAN say that it DOES seem to keep the coffee nice & hot for much longer than my old cup. So I am still enjoying it, ...sometimes.Still I like to be able to pop my cup in the microwave & reheat it whenever I like if I leave it sitting out too long, and that you just cannot do with this cup.So I have to remove a couple of stars for that issue.In fairness though, it in fact IS listed that way. ...I just wasn't even looking for that with a coffee cup though.I mean, who makes a coffee cup that you can't put in a microwave nowadays?If you don't have a microwave, or never put yours in the microwave though, this may be the cup for you!
