Works really well
I was a bit unsure about how good this would be as I am a keen regular flosser, however, having used it for over a week now, and checked my teeth and gums after with floss, I can say that it definitely does what it is supposed to do. Nothing left for me to remove with floss! It is a bit fiddly to get used to and it did make a mess the first few times, but I quickly got the hang of it and can manage it without soaking either the bathroom or myself now. My only concern is that it is difficult to clean the water from inside each time. I give it a good shake out and then put a clean tissue inside the water tank to try to soak up the damp. I'm worried about those typical black formations that develop when something is left damp or with water still inside. It does need filling during use but I use that as my timer to move on to a different section of my teeth. In all, I refill 8 times, 4 for the outside of my teeth and 4 for the inside. It doesn't take long and the end result is really fresh and clean mouth and teeth. I am really happy with it and very glad I bought it. Update August 2023. I'm still happy with this water flosser but the little plastic hinge that holds the filler cap has broken. It's now a pain to fill and close. I'm struggling on with it as I don't want to buy a new one yet. I find this very disappointing. The plastic must be too weak at this point as I have not dropped it or anything. Also, I now put a little bit of baby bottle steriliser in after each use to keep the insides mold free and this seems to work.

Brilliant
This is the second time I have purchased a waterpik. The performance of this brand is exceptional and highly recommended by dentists especially if u have dental implants, crowns, bridges or braces ad its less invasive as regular flossing. That being said it's very powerful and you want to make sure u try it with warm water and place in your mouth and aim before you turn it on insuring you close your mouth around it as you will get water absolutely everywhere if you do not. The battery lasts forever and the water tank is enough to do the top set of teeth thoroughly and refill for second. Your teeth and gums will feel amazing. We'll worth the money.

Good points and not so good
I purchased this over the other cheaper Chinese made knock offs as they don’t tend to last. I hoped by buying a reputable brand it might last longer. But it’s fair to say I’ve been using water flossers for years. I prefer them over traditional floss. They take a bit of getting used to and can cause bleeding in the first few days, nothing to worry about, your gums will toughen. Start off with the gentle pulse first. I start at the back teeth, top right and work along the gum line and in between each tooth. I do both outside and inside of the teeth. Top and bottom. I keep my mouth closed while I do it otherwise water gets everywhere. It takes a little practice but you learn to work by feel rather than looking in the mirror. And don’t forget to spit. You get a lot of water deposited quickly! Don’t try it first time with your best clothes on 😆 Also, use warm water. The machine itself feels sturdy and is quick to charge. It has 2 different settings a softer and a harder pulse. Personally I don’t think the harder setting is hard enough. I don’t have huge confidence that it works well enough on the tighter teeth but it certainly does work to remove debris. The water container is very small. If I’m working through my teeth thoroughly then I find I fill it 4 times. That’s a bit annoying but it’s no big deal really. Overall it works ok and if it continues to work then it’s worth having. Particularly recommended if you’re new to water flossing.

Great water flosser
My dentist recommended I got this as I couldn't floss my back teeth. Instructions to set up were easy to follow - you need to charge for 24 hours before first use, but this charge has lasted well over two weeks so far. Water reservoir is sufficient to floss whole mouth. Takes a couple of goes to not spray yourself. I can't look in the mirror whilst I floss or water goes all over - the jet of water is strong! Also, make sure you keep your finger on the on/off switch - if you need to look at it you will get sprayed. You need to keep the flosser pretty upright as the sucker tube takes the water from the bottom - takes some practice to floss behind your bottom front teeth, again I got a bit sprayed whilst I mastered it. Also you need to let the water flow out your mouth or it soon fills up - another reason you need to keep your head down over the sink and not looking in the mirror. All in all this leaves my teeth feeling very clean, even after brushing I can tell the difference. Expect a little spraying whilst you master using it - I have still not fully got it! Definitely use warm water, cold water is not nice if you blast it into your gums, especially with sensitive teeth. Would recommend, but not whilst wearing work clothes until you master spray control.

Glad I took the plunge.
I had thought for a long time about buying a water flosser but when researching up about them, they seemed to have variable feedback as to their effectiveness. What decided it for me was coming back from my last visit to the dental hygienist and feeling like I wanted to keep that lovely feeling of nice, clean teeth so I ordered this waterpik that same day. I quickly found it easy to use - I had read about people drenching their bathroom or having to use one in the shower etc, but I didn’t encounter these issues at all. You just need to lean over the sink and remember to keep your mouth closed slightly, just open it enough to move the waterpik around. I’ve been using the waterpik for a few months now and can honestly say that my teeth still have that clean, smooth feeling of having just been to see the hygienist. I will say though I have always practiced good dental hygiene a result of a dentist once warning me ‘Your teeth are nice and healthy - your gums, on the other hand are not! So unless you floss regularly your teeth are very likely to get loose as your gums recede!’ After that I have always flossed, used interdental brushes and brushed twice a day with an electric toothbrush - now I have added the waterpik into this regime and my teeth have never felt cleaner! My only gripe with this model is I dislike the fact there’s no indicator light to tell you if it’s charging/has charged up. You just have to guess that it’s been charged sufficiently after a few hours. I’ve also forgotten to switch on the plug socket a couple of times and not realised as there’s no light on it so came back to it a few hours later and found the battery still flat - very annoying! Overall I would recommend it and will be interested to see if my hygienist also notices an improvement on my next appointment.
