Veggie spaghetti maker
I love this wee gadget. I eat quite a low carb diet and as such sometimes miss spaghetti with my bolognese but this allows me to have a substitute. Really easy to use with carrots and courgettes. I imagine cucumber would cut well in this too but haven't tried that yet. Nice to be able to have my veggies in a different form and texture. Easiest way to clean this is with one of those dish brushes, difficult to get into the teeth otherwise. Only negative point is the top piece that is supposed to grip onto the end of the veg you are cutting. It's pretty useless. We tend to just stick a fork in the end of the veg we are cutting and turn it instead. This allows you to get further down the veg as well.

Does not make 'raw' noodles - really disappointing gadget.
I ordered on the Saturday and received bank holiday Monday - to me that had to be a good sign. Went and bought carrots and courgettes ready to make my raw 'noodles'. Being a vegetarian and wanting to make some more interesting salads I was sooo excited. I was sooo disappointed - the carrots kept breaking and the courgette got stuck - properly stuck and the cucumber just got skinned - no lovely little spirals or julienne - just lots of stubbed carrots and a nightmare to clean. This is an awful gadget - do not waste your money..

Love this funky gadget
This was another one of those "maybe" purchases but I decided to go for it and I have not been disappointed (and my family has never eaten so much salad without complaint). I cut carrot, cucumber and courgette for fresh salads, tacos and fajitas. We've even parboiled courgette spaghetti to go with a bolognese sauce and I don't think the gang noticed they were not eating pasta. I learned to use a fork to get down to the bottom of the carrot and courgette after nicking my index finger a couple of times on the cutting blade but now I get perfect veg and no damaged fingers. I find I get great vegetable strips no matter the size of the vegetable I am using and very little waste. Delighted with my purchase and would be another one without hesitation.

Fun idea but needs strongish hands to use.
Great little gizmo. Really enjoy using it. Have to have strongish hands and wrists to use this product and it 'bites' if you don't use it correctly (definitely wouldn't give it to a child!). One of the reviews that I read before I bought it said they used a fork to protect finger and get more from the item being 'spiralled' and I found this to be a very helpful comment but, although it may sounds obvious to say, you must be careful not to catch said folk on the blades! The spirals look good and they cook really quickly. Think it might help to encourage veg eating in children.

marvellous gadget
This is the first time I've ever been driven to write a review, but am so impressed with this little gadget that I felt I had to. It's extremely easy to use and fits vegetables of a reasonable range of shapes and sizes. It not only produces perfect spirals, but the courgette spirals were completely dry and ready to use immediately, raw or for cooking, without the tiresome squeezing and drying which courgette requires when grated. I haven't yet tried it with cucumber, and am not expecting quite such great results, since cucumber is so very wet, but still, this is a great addition to my gadget draw.

Waste of money
Very disappointed with this product. Tried with sweet potato, carrots and courgette. The end piece doesn't grip the item and just turns which makes grooves in the vegetable and leaves a mess which then has to be cleaned before the next attempt. I never achieved the long spirals you see on the photos and a friend tried but had no luck either. This spiralizer was a complete waste of money and isn't worth keeping so it will be heading for a charity shop.

Genius product
A major enhancement to the kitchen tool kit. We use ours almost daily. Inexpensive, easy, and makes courgette so much better!

WORKS GREAT - Gefu Spirelli Spiral Cutter
We have only used this spiralizer three times but it works great and thought I should add my two cents... It is VERY easy to use. It doesn't need directions. Insert the carrot or zucchini/courgette into the spiralizer just as you would insert a pencil into a pencil sharpener. Put it straight in and not along the side with cutter. It will get to the cutter after you give it a couple of turns. I don't find the cap very useful and don't stick your fingers inside of the unit because the blades are REALLY sharp. When it gets down to the end of the vegetable and there's not enough sticking out, I stick a fork into the end and then, grasping the fork tines close to the veggie, I continue turning and end up with just a little nub of the carrot or whatever left. I either pop this leftover into my mouth, cut it up, or set it aside for a different use... No problem. Besides this little nub, you will also have the core. This is about the size of a pencil. Either take a knife to it lengthwise to cut it into fine strips or use it as is... There's nothing to complain about except some folks think they must... Something like this Corn On the Cob holder/skewer would work much better than a fork 12pc Large Corn-on-the-Cob Holders Skewers and I will add this to my next Amazon order. Another plus is that it takes up very little of our limited kitchen space. We are very happy with our Gefu Spirelli Spiral Cutter. ==> UPDATE: The corn cob skeweres didn't work as well as expected (the 2 prongs were just not strong enough) so I'll just use a small fork in the end of the carrot when it gets down too far for my fingers. Don't use the fork handle to twist the veggie... Grasp the fork as close to the veggie as possible so not to induce "wobble" as Black Adder would say!
