Easy to install and great lighting
Great product! Last year i had a set of these lights put down our passage way (not the same company), but after 8 months they had become faded and eventually stopped working. Ordered these and already they are doing a better job and light up the area nicely, I do have a dimmer switch connected (came with previous lights) which allows me to have them dimmer. The picture shows them at full brightness around 8pm in Jan. You need to make sure the area is dry and warm(ish) when installing, I tried doing this in Jan and it look a while for the product to stick to the plastic guttering.

Good quality and so useful.
I've bought LE LED strips before and I think they are very good quality. The 3M adhesive tape on the back sticks like crazy, but the LED strip is robust enough to allow you to pull it away and re-fit if you make a mistake. The LEDs are described as warm white (which I'd say is fairly accurate) and are certainly bright enough for my needs, without the bulk of the newer and larger LEDs now available. The front of the LED strip is protected by a clear silicone 'dome' which makes it waterproof. If you are handy with a soldering iron you can cut the tape every 3rd LED and re-wire to your heart's content. Just peel back the clear silicon (which protects the copper pads beneath and makes soldering easy) with a fingernail and trim to suit.I run about a 3.5m length directly off a car battery in a shed, but these are perfect for all kinds of lighting needs.

Decent colour and good quality
I bought these as I was hoping they may match the the colour of the old 'cold' LE LED strips; 'unfortunately' they are reasonably warm - but this is a good thing - they seem about 3000K so while not as warm as say normal 2700K good quality LEDs they are reasonable. Unfortunately I don't think they are suitable for say kitchen or bathrooms where you likely want colder white - but good for rooms/hallways.Quality seems decent and previous LE strips I got seem to have lasted - unfortunately they changed the 'cold white' ones but this should not matter as this is the 'warm version' which seems OK. Let's hope these new versions are of similar quality.I recommend you buy the strip holders + screws and don't rely on the tape - in time it will degrade especially due to the heat (yes they are LEDs and give little heat but it is enough). If you really want to be flash consider putting silver tape around it to reflect the light to the places you want rather than be 'absorbed' by various edges (e.g. cupboard edges). Also if a cupboard consider putting it all around it rather than just the edge.

don't buy
The plug required is non-standard and not included so I cut the cord to connect to my own 12v LED transformer and plug. No light ensued and I changed the transformer to check it wasn't the transformer.Because I cut it I couldn't be bothered for £11.99 to get a return because of likely hassle over my cutting the cord. Fact remains: this didn't work. An advantage of buying cheaply? Don't buy in the first place I suggest.I note that it is advertised as waterproof and for outdoor use. The supplied leaflet entitled "Notes and Precautions", Note 3, point 5 announces emphatically, and in capitals, FOR INDOOR USE ONLY.I've thrown it away, adding to the deluge of rubbish up with which the world has to put, but in the course of doing so I realise that I've added a small sum of money someone's pocket.

Good for lighting a boat cockpit.
I was looking for a flexible strip light for a boat cockpit awning. With the addition of a cigar lighter type plug this strip worked straight off the boat's 12v. We just hung it on little hooks around the canopy roof. Really bright, good enough to read by anywhere in the cockpit. Looks quite fragile - need care putting it up and taking it down. But cheap enough to replace if it breaks (which it hasn't so far). Might try another in the saloon.

NOT 3000k warm white as claimed
Bought a 3000k warm white roll to use alongside previously bought rolls of the same colour. The difference in colour temperature was immediately obvious with the newer roll being closer to 4,500k. Waiting to hear back from the seller but I'd be careful to test these first before cutting/fitting if you care about the colour temperature. In other regards they appear just like any other similar variety of LED reel, they do offer decent brightness and flexibility. But that's for nought if the colour's wrong.
