Pelikan C499 Converter for Fountain Pens, Universal for Refilling Ink from The Bottle, Converter for All Standard Fountain Pens from Various Manufacturers

My favourite fountain pen is the Muji aluminium pen. Sadly it does not come with a reservoir, only single use plastic refills which I hate for the usual plastic reasons. I have bought five different reservoirs that claim to match the ‘universal’ ink cartridge which don’t. They leak, they are too small, they are re too long for the barrel. I am so happy that this one fits perfectly and I can use my favourite pen again. If you have this pen, THIS is the refill you need. Perfect fit, very smooth action and very well made. Much cheaper than the Bog name brands (which make false claims). Great service from the seller too. Can’t really ask for more

quality and design is good, but don't know why it is a bit loose, always worried dropping it when filling ink, but did not happen. But really want it connect to pen tightly.

Quick and easy to use and holds a decent amount of ink. I use this in my Muji fountain pen, fits great with a bit of a push to make it click. I get about an week of note-taking out of it, then refill on the weekend, couldn't be more practical!

I bought this because it was supposed to measure 6.5cm in length which would have been perfect for my pen. The item which arrived measures 7.5 cm in length which will not fit in my pen. If you give a measurement make sure it is the correct one!

Delivered before the expected date. Standard packing, came in without a scratch, I could fix it to my pelikan jazz without and fuzz. The mechanism works fine. Will review probably after 6months of use.

Arrived in a big brown letter parcel, without any packaging, so it could've been crushed. But it arrived safely nevertheless and it works with my Pilot metropolitan. Make sure this converter is used with international standard converter pens as others this will not fit. Furthermore, make sure you really push this into the pen with some force ( but not too much to damage the pen) as I did not realise you had to do this to make sure it is fitted securely and properly. You should be able to hear an audible click when it is fully seated into the pen and then should you start using it to fill with ink. Very easy to use and smooth plunger twisting system. Easily disassemble from the back; you just have to twist the metallic cover where the twister is and it should slide out, then you can pull the whole piston out and clean it out if you wish. Easy to assemble back.

Utilisé avec un pilot Plumix, un stylo plume et un roller Herbin ainsi qu'avec un stylo sans marque recevant des cartouches standard européennes. Parfait, fonctionne très bien. Pas de fuite et un remplissage efficace. Un peu dur au début pour les 2 Pilot Plumix, il faut insister mais ensuite c'est un régal à utiliser.

Well crafted, and looks sturdy enough. I am using it for my Waterman pen, as Pelican Jazz pen I bought, doesn't accept this converter. But converter itself is great.

Un producto de calidad, más caro que uno sin marca, pero infinitamente mejor, más duradero, suave... tanto es así que por la diferencia de precio compensa con creces. No se te atascará ni romperá en un año, no se degradará por el exceso o falta de uso, no se desmontará en un uso normal, como me ha pasado con muchos convertidores baratos. Este está bien hecho y te durará toda la vida. En estas cosas es mejor compar uno de marca: yo tengo algunos que tienen más de treinta (y hasta cincuenta) años y siguen funcionando sin problemas (mientras que uno sin marca rara vez dura más de un año, incluso sin usarlo). Solo conviene saber que no existe un estándar real para el diámetro de la boca de los convertidores. Cualquier convertidor, por muy estándar internacional que sea, se adaptará mejor a unas plumas que a otras. Así que si lo compras para una pluma que no sea Pelikan, conviene asegurarse de que irá bien. Yo ahora lo estoy usando en una Montblanc de las de antes del convertidor moderno de rosca, y va sin problemas. Como irá en una Waterman o una Faber-Castell, por ejemplo. Esos son todos intercambiables. Pero en algunas plumas de otras marcas puede ser muy estrecho y tener dificultad para encajar. Solo haz los deberes e infórmate primero. Y tendrás un convertidor para toda la vida.
