Brilliant for limited use
This is a fantastic product for a limited number of holes. My experience with more expensive and better ones is that they wear out reasonably fast too. I've only had to do 9 holes through 6.5mm ceramic tile and it's still going. I figure that i could maybe get another 9 holes out of it again before it's useless.A point to note is that there's no central auger to prevent it from wandering so you need to be a bit careful. It's simple if you have a drill press and will work really well as long as you don't put too much force one it. Most of the holes I've done were just with the tile sitting on a block of wood. I used my Makita drill/driver that handily has a slip- front on the chuck that means you can hold/control the front of the chuck when it's spinning. That allowed me to get the drill on at full speed and gently touch it on to the tile. It cuts in quickly so it's not a big issue but I can imagine a few novices or people who can't hold the front of their drill ending up with marred tiles or workpieces. For the price you couldn't possibly day this is a bad product.

22mm diameter, not 25mm
I ordered a 25mm. When it eventually arrived it had an outside diameter of only 22mm. When I asked the seller their answer was that because there is no central pilot drill it is assumed that the operator will not be able to hold the bit in place and you will end up with a hole around 25mm, which would be suitable for and they assume you are using to accommodate 22mm copper piping. Slow to arrive, inane comms over a piddly item.

Brilliant, delivered 30 mins ago and already done the job I needed it for !!!
I bought this as a last resort to drill some 45mm holes in some motorhome joinery panels. It works even better than I hoped, even in a multi purpose low RPM battery powered drill/driver.I'm adding sockets, switches and USB ports to some lightweight MDF/ply reinforced boards and this drill is easy to position, sits perpendicular with no juddering or wandering off centre.Super clean finish. See the pic, the bottom hole is new, the top two are manufacturer's original CNC holes.Tip: Use the original holes/spacing to start the new ones in the right place for CBE/C-Line fitting, as in the 2nd pic

Fell well short of expectations
I used the diamond cutter to drill through 1/4 inch glass. It took about 3/4 hour to get through it. It was not a perfect circle as the drill tended to wander and I had to constantly try to keep the bit in the same place. I was very disappointed in how slow the bit cut. If you are contemplating purchasing this hole cutter I would advise using a drill press so that you stand a better chance of producing a round hole. Either that or purchase a better cutter. Although it will cut a hole of sorts you will need to have a lot of patience because that it is so slow. Personally, I would not purchase again.

Gets the job done but by no means a long term solution.
I bought this to drill holes in tiles for LED lights, my review is a bit mixed. To be as detailed as possible, i tiled my bathroom in porcaline tiles 10mm thick, they are tough tiles and to be honest i wasn't even expecting this to work on them. I bought 12 LED lights which are the size of a 50p, 9 of which were in the ceiling. Now the last 3 i wanted to install in the side panel of the bath so they lit up the floor. As i was making the side panel from ply wood and tiling up I need a bit to drill the holes. I bought this on the friday and turned up monday so we was off to a good start. I then started drilling the holes. The first hole was excellent i was really impressed, went through the tile no problems. The second was the same story and if i was only drilling 2 holes this would have been 5 star rav review! However, i wasn't and this isn't. On the third hole, same story as the first 2 untill half way through and it litterally gave up. All the diamond coating fell off and the bit would not finish the hole no matter how many drill batteries i recharged to finish the job. In the end i finished the job making multiple small holes with a diamond drill bit and completed it with tile clippers. So in summery I'm not actually dissapointed with the product, it was cheap and got the job done and the sizing was perfect. To be honest if I was in the same situation again I would buy this again. If you need this for thinner and less robust tiles you may even get more than one job done with it. However, this hole saw is not a long term solution. On a side note of using this item. Make sure you keep the tile very wet while drilling (I was non-stop spraying with a spray bottle). Drill at an angle, and if you are having trouble getting the cut started you could cut a guide hole in a peice of wood (with a wood hole saw of the same size) and put it over the tile.

Works with glass tiles too
I bought the 15mm version to cut two holes for mirror tiles going into my shower cubicle. Other reviewers that mention the need for a template are absolutely right - don’t use unless you have a template ( I used a bit of scrap laminate floor) so that the bit will not skitter across the tile. Was a bit dubious that this fairly cheap tool would do the job cutting through glass, but as long as you are patient, drill slowly without putting too much pressure on the drill and use a template, you can get good results. Very pleased!
