How thick is the mat over all? Is it easy to fit over awkward shapes and curves, or does it need to be cut?

its about 1/8 of a inch thick,it works great fits concave and convex curves easy.Yes it has to be cut ,but a old pair of scissors does it easy.And it sticks,like the proverbial to a blanket.I used it around my MX5 door speakers,to stop them sounding rattly and tinny.Well pleased with the result.
