Must Have!
When a new cookbook arrives I like to sit with a cup of coffee and page through. I am only half way through this book and Holy Cow! Disclaimer: Obviously, I have not cooked a recipe from this book, however, I plan on cooking my way through the entire book.This is a beautiful book, if for the photos alone. It is photographed so well, the pages jump out at you. The recipes are so doable. Each recipe plays out with variations of the star recipe. This truly a work of art!

Yum yum!
So far so good! The book is gorgeous! Recipes are simple! I have only made the fluffy pancakes (yummy), the stir fry (instead of noodles, I just use white rice- delicious), and the breakfast smoothie (sweetness depends on you and the amount of honey/maple you use- good). I’m excited to go through this beautiful eye candy of a book with simple yet delish recipes! I know this book is for young chefs, but it’s great for adults that want to make fast easy food!I love that this book does incorporate a lot of the “better for you” ingredients like spelt flour, maple, honey, etc... It’s not overboard to where you lose the flavor from having too many “better for you” ingredients if you know what I mean.6/13/2019 I tried the chocolate banana brownies. They turn out fine, but definitely not my cup to tea. It uses dates, bananas, almond mean, cocoa, and vanilla extract. It has no dairy or eggs. The taste was just a little too different to my liking. Maybe someone who likes/loves chocolate candy with cherry flavors in the inside would appreciate this. As for me, I don’t like chocolate cherries, and this taste similar to chocolate cherries with a little taste of bananas in them..

Your cookbook collection needs this book
I have 3 Donna Hay cook books. All are beloved. This one is my favorite by far. Full disclosure, I have an addiction to cookbooks. I buy them to cook from them. But I don't like cookbooks with odd ingredients and the more pictures the better.All of Donna's cook books have pictures. This one is beautiful. The photos are slick, the ingredients not exotic, the food delish. I highly recommend this cookbook if you are a foodie that likes to cook and maybe impress your family while you're at it.

An excellent introduction to cooking
I sent this book to my granddaughter in California as a gift for Christmas. She completely loves it and I think will find it very useful for many years to come. She’s 11 now and is developing a love of cooking, so I think this book was the right one for her.

A Beautiful Cookbook
I have several of Donna Hay's cookbooks in paperback. This and The New Classics are the first hardback books I have purchased. Donna Hay's books are some of the most beautifully photographed cookbooks I have ever seen. The recipes are not complicated and if you enjoy cooking, you will use this book. If you don't enjoy cooking, you will be inspired to try.
