Excellent and now indispensable device for a small studio.
Other than the name (which causes titters from every visitor to my modest video post-production studio) this is a fantastic device and enormously useful. It does precisely what I want it to do, namely to allow me to mute or dim audio to the main monitors when recording vocals or acoustic instruments. Additionally I'm using it to route audio from a laptop so I can use the studio monitors to watch YouTube, listen to Spotify etc in high quality, without needing a second pair of speakers. I only do one thing or the other at any given time so a simple A/B input is perfect. The mono sum feature is invaluable, as is the mute button. I can't discern any alteration to tone or levels (not saying there is none - but my old ears haven't noticed it). Overall a very happy user.

Works perfectly, well made.
I was looking for a high quality passive volume control to a pair of powered speakers with 2 input sources. The unit appears very well made, the volume control works flawlessly and feels positive to use, and I don’t suffer from any extraneous noise or interference. It wasn’t the cheapest option, but my initial impressions are that it is well worth the higher price.

Great!
Great monitor controller. Smooth potentiometer that feels well made and sturdy. I don't notice any impact to the signal path and certainly no introduction of noise as stated by some in other reviews. Really handy to have a mono button to hand allowing me to check on the stereo field. If you need one, get it!

Fantastic, so usefull!
This One knob is a brilliant piece of kit for a home studio if you have two sets of monitors. I use this in conjunction with a small(ish) behringer mixer to give me more headphone control etc. The mono function is very handy for checking phase issues!Nb.I have no noise problems at my end.Get one!!

Built like a tank and easy to connect a second source to my powered monitors
Needed to add an AUX to my powered monitor system, smooth controls and useful functions. The large knob gives very accurate level adjustment. The weight of the steel case keeps it in place on my desk even with a full set of cables connected.Comes with a free license for the Mackie version of Tracktion DAW in the box.Only criticism would be the printing for the knob legend was slightly off center, but its just an aesthetic issue.

Passive big knob !
Balanced cables are needed. My unit hummed when I connected it. I re-soldered all my leads so they were balanced problem solved. I’ve only had it 1 day so far no issues. I think that my monitors sounds a tad different. I need to run some tests. I will report back.

The best investment for a studio.
Really has mad such a difference being able to zone in on mono sound and balancing levels with speed. No fiddling with my soundcard anymore. The mute has been great when i need to jump on headphones or powering my soundcard up. (No power pops) and the aux in is great when i dont want power up the soundcard and need to show vocalists something straight from another device. Top product.

Very handy piece of kit.
I have both my studio monitors and my Cambridge Amp with Kef speakers connected to the big knob. This enables me to switch between the two, allowing me to record and master my mix and then switch to the Kefs for checking normal play back. A great feature is having volume control,. This allows me to set the volume on my monitors and just leave them and use the big knob for volume control. Another great feature is being able to mute the speakers, this prevents feedback through the speakers from the microphone. This is a very handy, great piece of kit that every home studio or small recording studio should own. If you don't, my advice would be, to get one. You will not be disappointed.
