I don't know I haven't seen a different band I believe I do have the original watch my watch has the number 19 in it and that's the band that came with it I think the new reissue ones have the number 21 in it and they also had the band hope that helps

It is expensive because it is a mechanical chronograph. Probably the cheapest mechanical chronograph you will be able to find. In fact, if it were to malfunction, repairs would most likely cost far more than the original price of the watch.
