Review: arp1600 board - The device comes with no software or documentation. However there is a PDF on Waveshare's site which shows the pin configuration and how to set up the Raspberry Pi (using Raspian) to interface with it including terminal commands. There are errors in the documentation and some steps are omitted, for example, enable i2c on the Raspberry. I was able to get a PC to control the Raspberry fairly easily. After a struggle I got the RTC to work (the command modprobi2c is wrong); I had to use "sudo su" to pop into root mode to do it. Note - buy a CR2012 battery, they aren't easy to buy in the shops... There are libraries out there for the RTC for the Raspberry. Next step, get an Arduino display board to work
Review: Price slightly high, does what it is supposed to do. - Not that good, even if most options are nice, I would prefer using all the sensors and chips by myself. Programming is tough on this device, but it works as described so cannot complain much. The price tag is slightly too high for what it does in my opinion.
