Out of a family of four I'm the only one who'll go near a spider or insects, one adult daughter is full on phobic and broke her i pad trying to swat a moth with it (to say I was horrified is an understatement). This item has been an absolute godsend! it works so much better than I anticipated. It deals with the smallest to largest spider, and even catches moths without damaging them (admittedly the largest spider in the uk isn't going to be *that* large). The length on the handle is better than most similar items and we can reach most areas. The only small issue we have and I can't see a way to improve on it without having different catchers for different surfaces is that if the insect is on a wall, and you have to angle the catcher, sometimes you can't get it to 'sit' in the central area between the open bristles quite well enough to grab the little feckers. Despite that small issue so far we have a 100% success rate at bug removal, my husband and younger daughter no longer yell for mam to come get the creepy crawlies and are happy to do the job themselves.After owning this product for several months I'd like to add that although still delighted with it's bug catching capabilities the handle has proved a little flimsy, and the 'catch' at the end of the handle has broken and it's popped apart. With a little bit of intense examination, combined with some mild swearing and gaffer tape we have managed to pop things back in place. It doesn't look as 'pretty' but is working. Although I still highly recommend this product I do feel it's a little over priced for the materials used and lack of complexity in its construction, basically it's more flimsy than I would like. Several to keep in different rooms would be my goal. This would be particularly useful for when 'the phobic one' comes home for the weekend so we don't have to spend ten minutes rushing from room to room looking for the single one we own while she hyperventilates, but am unwilling to fork out £40 or more to have one handy in each area of the house.

I have really really bad arachnophobia, seeing a spider in my house really hinders whatever it is I'm doing at the time, I literally will not go into the room its in until someone gets the spider for me. I can't stand even little spiders. And no matter how many times people say "its just a spider" or "it can't hurt you" I can't stop being afraid of them and getting rid of them is so hard for me. It may sound stupid to some people but I'm genuinely terrified of them. Its generally ok if my boyfriend is home as he will get rid of them for me but the problem is when he's at work. This spider catcher hasn't made my phobia any better but it has made me feel more reassured that should I see one when no-one else is with me that I will be able to get rid of it without having to get too close to it. The spider catcher uses its bristles to pick the spider up securely without hurting it and you can take it outside and release it.I personally haven't had to use it myself yet (thankfully) but i've seen my boyfriend use it and it really is so easy to use and makes me feel much more at ease when I am alone!I highly recommend this to not only people that are scared of spiders but also to people that want to get them out of their house without hurting them or making a mess!

I envy the rare type of person who is able to catch spiders with their bare hands. if this does not describe you, and if you would rather not kill a spider in spite of how scary it is, you need one of these. this particular spider catcher is pretty short compared to most of them, which is good for storage and portability but less good if you would prefer to be as far from the spider as possible. it’s good value for money though and I have bought this as a gift for all my spider-plagued friends. it does come with a plastic practice spider. I say this as a warning, because I keep forgetting where I put the plastic spider and then noticing it out of the corner of my eye. turns out it looks more like a real spider when seen from a distance than I had anticipated. please hide the plastic spider immediately in a place where you won’t see it if you, like me, are not a fan of spiders.

We bought one of these spider catchers last year from another supplier, but decided to get a second for upstairs after coming across a humongous spider occupying the landing. Having to pass far to close for comfort to this lurking monster to fetch the spider catcher from downstairs was not a good experience! We swiftly caught him in the bristles of the catcher and carried him off to the nearest field where he ran off at speed, proving this humane bristlely gadget really doesn't harm it's prisoners. We promptly ordered another spider catcher from Amazon safe in the knowledge that it would arrive the next day!Catching spiders does require a little practise and the fake spider is perhaps best kept for Halloween. Once you have the hang of the catcher, it is easy to use even on moving targets, though it may take a couple of attempts. I find it great for catching daddy long legs that are just out of my reach and we've even caught flies on the move too. Despite our first catcher having heavy use it is as good as new. We do keep the protective cap on over the bristles, as it would be less effective if they become bent.I have no hesitation in recommending this gadget, it's so much better than a jar and piece of card and it is money well spent! One tip, if you have more than one, get different colours so you know if you leave it downstairs, that way you won't be caught without one!

Bought for my daughter who is terrified of spiders. She loves it. Has used it with great success. She says it keeps you a good distance from the spiders and keep them secure til you release them outside. She wasn't sure that they would stay in the bristles but they do.Word of warning there is a big plastic spider in the package which made me jump, even though I'm not scared of spiders! It's great to practise with though.My daughter says it's the best spider catcher she's used, due to how easy it is to operate and how successfully it does the job. Comes with a handy little hook to hang it up somewhere accessible.

Preferisco evitare di uccidere gli insetti se non è strettamente necessario, solo che cercare di catturarli e metterli fuori senza fargli del male stava diventando un dispendio di tempo ed energie, oltre al fatto che a volte mi trovavo costretta ad usare le mani con un po' di fastidio ed impressione. Questa estate poi ho notato un aumento rilevante dei ragni dentro casa e liberarmene diventava veramente un impegno....finché non ho visto questo prodotto e ho deciso di provarlo! Beh devo dire che non solo ho risparmiato un sacco di tempo ed evitato pericolose arrampicate sulle sedie per raggiungere i ragni ma l'ho trovato anche divertente! Ho liberato un sacco di ragni, cimici e farfalline! Le setole sono morbide e non arrecano alcun danno agli insetti. La plastica é abbastanza leggera ma basta utilizzare il prodotto per quello che è il suo scopo e durerà a lungo. Il mio anche se è stato usato parecchio sembra ancora nuovo. Unico neo è il manico un po' corto, per il resto sono molto soddisfatta.

Premetto che se si cattura l'insetto premendo con la mano velocemente, si rischia di uccidere il povero malcapitato.. Però facendo con delicatezza si possono prendere tutti gli insetti senza ucciderli né mutilarli in alcun modo.. È adatto a ragni, scarafaggi e centopiedi.. Ottimo per aracnofobici! Il prodotto è arrivato in anticipo. Molto soddisfatta!

Prodotto carino e funziona anche con i cimici (l'ho preso per questo anche se andrebbero uccise, ogni cimice produce dalle 200 alle 500 uova se non eliminata).Quindi lo uso poco, perche' appunto le elimino in altri modi.Guardando il prodotto in se di sicuro funziona con i ragni.3 stelle per il prezzo sicuramente troppo elevato.

Cet accessoire n'est pas un gadget, il m'est devenu indispensable pour rendre à la nature tous les indésirables avec lesquels je ne souhaite pas cohabiter. J'ai même réussi à attraper une mouche en plein vol ! L'araignée en plastique vendue avec pour s'entraîner n'est pas indispensable en revanche (beurk) . Il est léger et pas trop encombrant, je l'emmène en vacances. Je recommande à tous les arachnophobes.

Il est facile d'attraper l'araignée en plastique livré avec mais pour ce qui est des vraies araignées c'est totalement inefficace.
