Sturdy tool, however calibration certificate was from 10 months ago.
Not entirely sure about calibration accuracy.I bought it late December and the certificate of calibration was done in February. Nearly a year has passed by without it being used. I bought it to use with low torque. 12N. It did not click, but because I knew how it feels like I didn't snapped the bolt. I probably will be using as a normal wrench. It is a heavy torque wrench and very sturdy, it's a pity that I can't trust 100% on its accuracy though.Update:It seems the torque wrench is working just fine now. Maybe it need to be used a little first before it start to work properly. I'm using it quite regularly now and I can say that I'm really happy with it and do trust it now. It is very accurate now.Definitely would recommend it, however for low torque like I need for the fist job (12N) I would recommend to use it a few times first before applying it in a torque sensitive material (carbon)

Beautiful, accurate and with a very audible click
Beautiful , accurate and with a very audible click! When you reach that value set. And a range between 7-112. this is very cheap for such a quality tool, and I would add, don't waste your time on really cheap tat, unless it's a bargain! Sealey ( not siegon) for me is the only brand that matters , better then middle of the road, a lot of their tools are top end, and at prices that you would think is below par in quality and would be suspicious in toughness , well, just look at most garages, lots of sealey .... And for u snap on fan boys, go polish your spanner. btw, any snap on fans here, please buy King dick, they are on par and in some cases much better then snap on, and slightly cheaper.

Test it before you use, It seems Excellent product though
I needed a torque wrench for car maintenance and ordered this one. I read in a couple of reviews that sometimes it did not work and people stripped threads and bolts. It looked ok and solidly built and I decided to try it out first before using it on the car. Well, even at the lowest setting it stripped the test bolt. It operates as a ratchet and not a torque wrench. I tried all torque settings but it simply does not work. If I had not tested it I would now be facing major problems.EDIT: Before I sent it back I decided to give it another go. And It worked! And actually it worked well. It fees solid, it is easy to set the torque and as far as I can tell it must be accurate. I was able to change discs and pads, oil and filter and spark plugs with no problem. It seems that it needs some time for all the internals to start moving.Overall it works very well, is solid and probably accurate and as it is cheap you can use it as breaker bar (within reason). I now consider this one of the best tools I have. Be careful though and test it before you torque that sump plug.

excellent piece of kit, well impressed
great product!!Needed a torque wrench as i had loose camshaft bolts on my vauxhall corsa (common problem).the item arived next day as i am on amazon prime and i am quite impressed by the quality of this torque wrench. It has a great range between 7-112NM. Normally you would have to buy 2 separate wrenches to get this range. It is well made and feels good in the hand, its easy to set the required torque. just set the torque to where you want it and keep on turning the bolts until you hear the click . i would have preferred it if it was 1/2in drive but i can live with it being a 3/8inch drive.buy one you wont regret it

Home mechanic essential
I bought this a while ago but only recently had to use it at any great length for a chain and sprocket change on my little 125cc motorbike. I already knew the torque range would be sufficient so it was just a case of checking how well it worked and how easy it was to change torque settings. After tightening up a number of bolts to different settings I can say it feels solid, well made and the markings on the handle for adjustment are quite easy to figure out. It gives a satisfying click when you have achieved the correct tightness on a nut or bolt. The only slight annoyance is the handle can still rotate slightly even when its has supposedly been locked into position.Comes in a nice red plastic storage container with accompanying calibration certificate.

This is my first torque wrench and it looks like good quality
This is my first torque wrench and it looks like good quality, but I have found it difficult to hear when the torque value has been reached. It pings but that ping is very quiet. Perhaps this is just me, but not the easy to use - practice on something first, so you don't over torque an engine bolt by accident!!

Excellent value torque wrench
Good performance from an inexpensive torque wrench. Easy to use and great for car/motorbike use. The torque setting is easy to use in lbft or nm. Covers nearly all the jobs l would need it for.

Excellent
I'm a professional Engineer and an enthusiastic home car mechanic, and this is VERY good quality for the price!I returned a Draper model I'd used less than 1/2 a dozen times, as it was quite simply RUBBISH-it slipped constantly and I had the skinned knuckles to prove it. Plus it was nearly £10 dearer than this Sealey. I borrowed a mates Sealey wrench to finish the job and was sold, so bought this one.Later I tested it against newly calibrated, much higher quality equipment and it's bang on.Very positive click indication which you don't get with a lot of 'low end' models. The scale is excellent. You just won't get quality like this for £20 thereabouts.

ottima

Chiave Dinamometrica
