Make sure you have the setting correct, initially I thought the light was the setting marker, but its not, it’s a little notch under the handle. i really like the fact the MAX water level is shown when filling the iron flat, not when it’s held upright. It stands well on end when not in use and is very stable. It’s such a versatile item, not Just for holidays, but think of people who are less able to lift a full size heavy iron, those recovering from surgery, elderly, of those just not so physically strong.My only negative is there was a no steam boost which my older travel iron had, but that’s not a real issue.
