One major drawback: there are NO BUTTONS below the waist. What does that do? When the rains start and any, even minor wind, blows - the bottom half of the coat swings wide open and your thighs well above the knee - almost to your crotch - get wet with rain. They didn't put any buttons below the crotch area and so the coat does nothing to protect your legs, thighs, PANTS. You will get soaking wet.

Full disclosure, I have not yet worn them in the rain. I bought them as a "just in case" for our upcoming trip to Disney. I will update the review after our trip, assuming we need them.Now at first glance, they do seem thick & durable - definitely more protective than the disposable ponchos you get at the dollar store (though I would hope so, for paying 10x more)! However, one of the two jackets I purchased came with a seam already ripped. Not a huge rip, and I am still planning on bringing it with, but that alone lost a star for me. Additionally, I do wish that the sleeves had drawstrings or had elastic in them as I can already see water pouring directly down my sleeve if I ever lift my arms from my side.As for sizing, they fit me (5'4, 110lbs) to my shins and my husband (5'11 150lbs) to his knees. Definitely full enough coverage in the event of a random downpour, but I guess I wouldn't sit out and frolic in the rain in one of these if you are much bigger than my husband's size.

I thought these were more transparent, I don’t have time to return them so I’ll stick with them.

Bought this for an American Psycho cosplay. Looked great and was comfortable to wear, though it did get a bit hot in the con after awhile. If you need a rain coat for cosplay purposes, definitely recommend.

Light, east fold, not easily ripped and always in my bag!!

I thought because it was more expensive than the others, it would be a better value. The seam on the top of the head piece was not secure. Glad we checked them out before our trip
