The tweezers work extremely well. I'm very new to filetting fish but the tweezers were very easy to handle and they gripped the bones very well. I've not used the scaler yet but they look very good quality, thanks.

Great idea
The scaler is excellent and does the job. The boner appears to be a bit hit and miss depending on the type of fish

De-scaler is good the de-boner less so
I was looking for a tool to help de-bone fish and I bought this as I thought it was good value and I liked the idea of having a tool to de-scale fish as well as the tweezers. I found the de-scaler is excellent on the fish I have used it with so far - mainly cod, haddock and ling. I am having trouble with the tweezers though as you have to really squeeze them hard to use them and it is really uncomfortable to do this for any length of time as the material is very springy. Maybe because of the springiness of the metal and the difficulty of gripping it closed I find the bones tend to slip, it is better than a pair of ordinary tweezers or a knife but it does not make the job as easy as I had hoped.

Works well and simple to use. However shiny coating came off on first time in dishwasher. Item now looks dull but works

Brilliant !!!
I had been buying Bass fish for sometime and found the rescaling was laborious and messy. I got these items and as yet I haven't used the tweezer thingies for bones. The descaler I have used and I am telling you it is grand. I descaled a Bass in half a minute and the speed it rips out those scales was amazing. The mess was minimal also.If you buy the type of fish that needs descaling this is the gear.

Great tools
I eat a lot of fresh fish & regularly go to Billingsgate and needed a good scaler and de-boner. These are very good, weighty and do the job very well. I am very pleased with them both having used them a lot. I would definitely recommend this product.

No use for a boner...
Haven't used them yet as I'm rubbish at catching fish. But they seem well made and up for the job.
