The School of Life: Quotes to Live By: A collection to revive and inspire (Lessons for Life)

I LOVE SOL. I have easily 30 of their books but I couldn’t read this. The singular neon orange color chosen for the book AND the drawings literally hurt my eyes, like visual nails on a chalkboard. I hope they re-release this down the road using colors that are soothing as they normally do with all their other books.

Good quotes but no mention of who said them. Never seen such in a quote book.

I was looking forward to this book. There is nothing wrong with the ideas or the advice - they are uniformly clear and wise. The problem I have is with the presentation. The illustrations are extraneous. Why not lose the illustrations and make the type-face larger? But of more importance is the ORANGE type. Whose idea was that? Dark blue, brown, dark red - but orange and so faint as to be illegible? VERY disappointing. Why didn't the Latvian print team say something? Who made the decision to use orange-coloured type? Come on, School of Life, you can do better than that!
