Slendertone Unisex Connect Abs App Driven Toning Belt

I ordered Connect after reading reviews here and elsewhere (non-Amazon reviews). I had been thinking about it for quite a long while, and finally decided to purchase one. I believed that the device worked on a logical principal, so eventually I became convinced it might work for me. My aim was simply to tone and build my core so as to develop better balance. (FYI, I work out at the gym 5-7 days each week, but I focus on aerobic-style activities, elliptical synchro machines and recline bicycling primarily (very little weight lifting).)I have been using it for just over three weeks now, and I can say without a doubt that it works, but as many have mentioned, it is no miracle maker. There are also some caveats buyers should be aware of most of which have been mentioned by others.1) You really do need to check if your smartphone or i-Pod can use the app. I thought that my smartphone would be fine, but it wasn't. I suggest that you try downloading the app prior to buying the Connect. In fact, that is how I realized my phone wouldn't work. I searched for the app and tried to download it and was greeted with the message that I could not download it. Luckily, I had an i-Pod and the app downloaded from i-Tunes without a hitch (and it works very well).2) As others have mentioned, you can extend the life of the gel pads by applying gel to them, but I would add that you really don't need a specialized gel. Most gels will work because they conduct electricity. Because the medical gels are so expensive here, I opted for a 2.0 litre bag of facial gel, which was really like 500% cheaper. It works very well.3) The position you are in while using it matters! If you are sitting, you can crank it up much higher than when you are standing. Sometimes when I stand up suddenly, the Connect sends a penetrating pulse all the way to my knees, and I need to reduce the strength of the pulse.4) I believe that each person will have a different experience. I was used to having electro-acupuncture applied to my back every other month a few years ago. I liked the sensation. The Connect delivers the same kind of sensation, but I imagine some people wouldn't like this feeling. This may be why I could turn up the strength of the pulses to above 90 only after using for about a week.5) Your girth matters. I think the package says up to 41 inch waists can use it, but the bigger your waist is (based on the amount of fat), the harder it would be for the machine to contract your waist IMHO. Certainly, the less fat around your mid-section, the easier it is for the machine to isolate your muscles and contract. My waist is around 36" and it seems to be contracting my muscles just fine, but if I were a bit thinner, I think it would contract them much more easily.6) There are various modes dependent upon your goals. The app helps you decide, which mode you should use. It suggested Essential Toning, so that is what I am using. The other modes deliver more pulses per session, so I cannot speak to those. After six weeks, I plan to switch modes to see if there are any differences in sensation and toning. I'll let you know what happens.7) I suggest that you buy a charging cord that incorporates a USB slot for charging (such as the types that you can use for charging your phone that also have a USB slot right in the plug) because the Connect comes only with a USB cord and no power cord. For me, and imagine a number of other folks, plugging the Connect controller into a PC for recharging becomes a bit irritating rather quickly.Other than that, I think it is great. There is no question that it is affecting my abs, but it is a slow process. My wife has mentioned that it has been toning my stomach little by little (and she doesn't lie about those things to me...believe me). And, to repeat a clarion here, this should supplement your exercise program not encompass it.I guess upshot is the question to this question: "If this were to break tomorrow, would you be willing to buy another one?" I would buy another one without any hesitation this time around.

Really impressed, its early days but i had an older belt but this the “next generation” belt. Has more programmes and the ability to see your progress. I did have a technical issue with the app, but after using the online chat, have managed to resolve it, so was a good test of the support service.Nice touch using your smart phone to control it and it allows hassle free movement.The battery pack, also seems to last longer than my other rechargeable unit, my older one needed charging after each use, my new one is only down to 50% after 5 days, so its looking good. It may be more expensive than some others, but I cant fault the quality.Only negative point, states up to 42” well, that’s optimistic its a very tight 42” as the belt isn’t very elastic (unlike other Slendertone belts). But got an extension for the belt making it more comfortable to fit. Having said all that, I would still highly recommend this belt, if you are wanting to tone up the stomach muscles.

Fantastic product.I have used it for approx 2 weeks now. In beginning I was sceptical if this would work. I am not expecting huge visible results as I'm a little overweight, but I would like to increase muscles. I really feel how my muscles work and stay hard during the pulses from the belt.I have a similair product from other manufacturer, but this can not be compared. I will really recommend slendertone.Working perfectly together with my LG G6 with android 7.Only negative is the length of the belt is a little short, and could preferably have been a little longer.EDIT: After last app update on android this product is "useless", app is constantly crashing when I try to open it, and I get no reply on emails to Slendertone.EDIT 2: App crash fixed in new update. Reduced from 5 to 4 stars due to no response from Slendertone by email, and due to missing release testing of their app.

I bought this in January 2022 and have used it a lot. The belt works really well and the app is so easy to use. I should have said “was” easy to use. All of a sudden, a few weeks ago, I went to use the belt but all I got from the app was a blank screen. All of my history had gone and there was nothing, so I can’t use the belt anymore. When I looked into it, the parent company went into liquidation around the middle of the year.Just whether it will be bought out as a going concern remains to be seen and even if my belt was still useable, would I be able to buy replacement pads for it going forward. I see they are available now, but for how long?

Occasionally I walk away from my phone and go to another room and this breaks the connection and I get "Bond Failure" message. I phone them on the 0800 number and they sort it. I think it is strengthening my muscles as I can now do a "plank"

Brought the connect abbs direct from amazon as a Christmas present for someone, the person who received it was pleased it was easy to use and the app was good enough to track your sessions but could use more development.As a side note It is impossible to store two separate peoples data even if they have their own slendertone email as all sessions as soon as you log into the phone data recorded to the device syncs to the e-mail even if someone else was logged in when recording the info.I can not comment on the effectiveness of the device as by the 5th week of the first 6 week plan the slendertone was playing up on and not completing most sessions.Why I have given 1 star:The connect abbs began cutting out mid session within the first two weeks of use giving error messages and having to restart a session over. This was frustrating and time consuming.I contacted amazon at the beginning of February to get a replacement, amazon were painful to talk to, asked a million problem solving steps only to be told that I had to contact slendertone as amazon won’t replace it unless slendertone agree for it to be exchanged or refunded.If they had told me this at the start I would have contacted them straight away, but once you have purchased it instead of the ‘return this item’ section on your order it is replaced wit a ‘get support’ button.I contacted Slendertone, as it was a present for someone else they had to contact slendertone but slendertone offered to ring them for me.On the call they also asked a million problem solving questions, this was done over the course of 3 separate phone calls with 3 separate people. The calls were equal in length and instruction, by the 4th phone call and to be told to do the problem solving steps again we asked for a refund.To send the connect abbs back we had to pay for postage which we have been promised would be reimbursed, if this happens to you make sure you insure the product with the correct kind of postage.It has been received and have been told has been issued, yet we have no money in any account. I also don’t know how they got my information to process a refund as I haven’t given them my card info yet! (Maybe they got it from amazon, who knows?)The product was faulty and all we wanted to exchange it for a new one, due to the sheer inadequacy of their staff and olycies we have asked for a refund which as of March 19th is still in limbo.We intend on keeping the connect abbs and had brought replacements pads which we now cant use as we decided that this is an expensive product that has terrible support and I don’t want to risk the money on another faulty product and have to go through this nightmare again.If you do want to purchase the connect abbs or any slendertone product I would not recommend them as a company but if you really do want the item don’t buy from amazon as they are very unhelpful when things go wrong.

Lets start with the positives, the packaging is nice. The belt looks fine and from looking at the app it appears okay and pretty intuitive.Now negatives, the belt doesn't fit 24 -42 inches, I measured it, it's only 39 inches and doesn't stretch much. The setting it up is a palaver, it took 8 attempts which included following the apps guide, then having to unpair then re-pair, but it is finally working. The app does sporadically say controller not connected.

An amazing device, almost science fiction like. I hardly feel it on once it gets going and the effects are felt in the first weeks. There’s a weird sensation to feel the sticky pads on your skin though. It also needs replacement pads, so prepare to have some regular spending to keep using it.I felt it could have higher levels of intensity, it doesn’t take long to get use to the max level.IMPORTANT: it tones abs muscles nicely but it’s on the user to lose weight and actually see the abs.

Sportif à raison d'une heure par jour, et m'étant cassé le pied (6 semaines d'immobilisation), c'est pour le moins sceptique, que j'ai acquis cette ceinture.Je dois, au bout de 4 semaines d'utilisation quotidienne, reconnaitre que ce produit tient les promesses faites par le fabricant! Mes abdos sont maintenant encore plus dessinés qu'avec mes séances à l'ancienne... alors que je ne peux plus faire de sport avec le bas du corps!Il faut dire que de tous les produits de la gamme, c'est le plus puissant. Il y a en outre la possibilité de choisir parmi 5 programmes (post grossesse, Finess, Tonification, tonification avancée et occasion spéciale) avec des puissances et des cycles de stimulation différents. On peut en suite faire varier la puissance de 0 à 100%. Chaque séance comprend une phase de montée en intensité, une phase d'intensité maximale et une phase de récupération. C'est vraiment bien foutu (enfin, à ce prix, on en attendait pas moins)! Le matériau de la ceinture est très qualitatif et confortable.Mes premières électrodes ont duré 15 jours (2 séances par jour), et on peut en acheter des nouvelles directement depuis l'application.Tiens, parlons de l'application: elle est très bien faite et comptabilise les points que l'on gagne à chaque séance, histoire de motiver par le jeu les velléitaires de la tablette de chocolat.Ah, et comme on parle de chocolat, un dernier point : l'électrostimulation permet de dessiner les muscles et de les renforcer, mais ce type d'exercice ne consomme que peu de calories. Donc peu importe le modèle que vous choisirez (et je vous conseille vivement celui-ci!), si votre but est de perdre du ventre, vous devez en premier lieu adopter une combinaison alimentation-activité qui vous permettra de bruler dans la durée votre gras-du-bide. L'électricité (contrairement à ce qu'on peut voir dans certains argumentaires mensongers) ne brule pas la graisse! Pour la faire disparaitre, il n'y a que 2 solutions : par déficit d'apport calorique et alors votre corps puise dedans pour la transformer en énergie (d'où la nécessité d'adapter son apport calorique quotidien en fonction de son activité) ou alors on vous l'aspire dans une clinique. Bref, pas de miracle, mais un produit haut de gamme et vraiment sérieux qui tient ses promesses.Allez, fini le pop-corn, bouffez des carottes et alors je vous souhaite de bonnes séances d'abdos depuis votre canapé, devant Netflix.

Ok u pay a lot but it is worth. When u start seeing the results, u will understand that it is actually even cheap. Take it and get rid of belly fat. My only concern would be cleaning of the belt. Honestly I don’t want to damage the belt while cleaning. We will see.

Il dispositivo funziona a dovere. Emette una seriendi stimoli ems che agiacono stimolando i muscoli a contrarsi. Ci sono vari programmi dal principiante a chi fa fitness o chi deve mettersi in forma in breve tempo o rimettere i vestiti di un tempo. Ma do 1 stella ad amazon in quanto dopo 1 settimana vedo il prezzo del dispositivo a 95 € quanto io l'ho comprato a 139€ . Non è mai sceso di prezzo da quanto lo tenevo in lista desideri e poi dovo l'acquisto ecco che ti scende di oltre 40 € . Non mi è piaciuto..

I use Slendertone as part of an overall training program - i.e. next to weight lifting training and cardio - and it works really good. It makes a difference and supports a healthy lifestyle with clearly strengthening of the abs. Anyone with discipline and not waiting a miracle should be well satisfied with this product.
