Will this fit an iPhone 8? I’m an artist and need a tripod that’s flexible so I can make videos of my drawings.

Clamp before opening is 11.5cm and when fully opened is. 16.5cm so anything with a width or height of 12.5cm to 16.5cm will clamp in.

Can I remove the bit that attaches to the table to make a collapsible and twistable selfie stick?

I cannot figure out it can work that way. You need to fix it somewhere to twist it
