to be honest it works well like i cant fault but bcos i had it for a long time the plastic tightening thing broke and so the whole thing was kind of useless i can just about use it whilst the tightening plastic broke a lil.

Good for sketching, not great for accurate designs
Cheap and cheerful, however the ring that holds the pencil does not hold it very tightly. The needle end is quite short and doesn't byte the paper well. When trying to draw particularly small circles its easy for the point to move. The maximum reach of this compass is a bit limited also. I was using this for Halloween costume design and was just able to achieve the design I wanted. At some point I will need a compass for larger circles or higher accuracy and will have to invest in a more professional compass. Great for a beginner not wanting to have a lot of initial outlay.

Wasn't what I was hoping for
This is really quite a small compass and the needle point could be sharper. The sizes of potential circles are quite small and the gap with the pencil is too small for any of my other pens- which is one of the main reasons I bought it. A bit disappointed but I suppose it would be better for high school Maths and not art projects
