Watch where you put these!
Shelving unit is really strong but I’m not too happy with the shelves. After reading the reviews I decided to cover them with fablon but didn’t do the undersides. BIG mistake. Having to clean and cover to stop the mould growing and dropping onto stuff on shelves below. In a dry ventilated shed. Probably fine if indoors.

Rugged, and a good purchase
I bought three of these units, and am generally pleased with them. One of the three boxes had a mallet inside, which was all I needed to assemble the three units apart from a pair of pliers to bend inwards the tabs on the horizontal centre support bar for each shelf. I assume the supplier purposely sent me one pack with a mallet and the other two packs without a mallet, as it would have been a terrible waste if I had ended up with three mallets.Unlike some of the other reviewers of this product, I did not have any trouble getting the metal tabs on the beams to fit into the metal slots on the uprights, and all three units were easy to assemble. I only have a couple of minor grumbles with the design of the units:a) the holes to screw the uprights to a wall could do with being a little further away from the ends of each upright, as I found it quite difficult to screw each assembled unit to a wall (my topmost shelf was at the top end of the uprights);b) as eight rather than four plastic end caps were supplied per pack I assume four are intended for the top ends of the uprights, but they do not fit if you have inserted the two tabs of the top shelf's beams in the topmost two slots of the uprights. If the ends of each upright had been just a fraction longer -- or if all four corners of the shelf deck had been chamfered (rather than just two of the corners) -- then four of the eight plastic end-caps per pack would have fitted nicely on the top ends of the uprights.

Sturdy shelves
Very strong and sturdy shelves. Took a while to build the first unit (I bought 2) as one of the two tabs on most of the beams wouldn't slide into the proper position easily. With a little bending they did eventually slot in. The decks slotted in no problem on the first shelve unit. The second unitslotted together very easily and I had no problems with the tabs this time. The shelves however didn't slot in easily, it seemed as if they were cut a little too big? Had I had a plane I would have shaved a little off, I didn't so I just had to use the mallet to hammer them into place which did damage the edges a little. Over all I'm happy with the finished item, for the price I paid for them. The advert states a free mallet with the shelves, however I only received one although I bought two shelve units. One box had quite obviously been opened and the mallet removed from it as the box arrived with each corner damaged and no plastic covering the box under the plastic straps round the box. the other box was completely sealed in plastic under the straps. Bit of a cheek not to give a free mallet with each unit when it states there is a free one in the advert.

Excellent shelving, easy to assemble
We bought four lots of this shelving - one for our small outhouse, and three for the shed. Arrived quickly.First set was tricky to assemble as I had to figure it out (though not that difficult - I'm usually clueless on this sort of stuff, but still managed it) as there didn't appear to be any instructions. No sooner got the racking done and about to drop the shelves in when I found the instructions between some of the shelves!First one took a while as I figured it out, but the other three were very straightforward once I knew what I was doing. Seem very sturdy now they're assembled, and we now have nice, tidy storage!Would definitely buy these again if we decide we need more.

Don't look any further. Buy these.
These shelves are absolutely fantastic, and I actually trust the claims made of them unlike some others that use “Heavy Duty” in the description.I’m very VERY pleased with the sets that I’ve bought. Don’t expect to put them together in 10mins. They require patience and calm. If you allow the extra time and follow the instructions the end result will definitely be worth it.AND !! Not only are they “actually” Heavy Duty you get accessories. There are clips that allow sets of shelves to be connected together and there’s also an incredibly useful hammer that is just right for putting these shelves together. As the gauge of the metal used is reasonably thick (approx. 1mm :: 1.3mm – 1.4mm including paint), the frame sections need to be nudged home and a hammer larger than the one provided would run the risk of damaging the tabs that lock the frame together. (As above – patience and calm)The shelves themselves are good quality MDF and the frame includes the additional sections that support the middle of the shelves to help prevent sagging. As I’ve said, these are heavy duty so if you buy more than one set please be ready to thank the courier when they get to your doorstep as I would say they’re at least three Weetabix worth (more if there are stairs involved).

Great shelving units
For a long time I had been meaning to sort out the bombsite that is the inside of my shed. I only wish I had invested in these shelves sooner. There is a vast selection of shelving units, but because I needed them for my shed I couldn't go for a seemingly standard height of 180cm. These at 150cm are perfect. You do lose a little shelf depth though. I have 3 of these connected together along the length of my 8'x6' shed. It leaves about 30 cm at one end - handy as this is where I can hang a few things & tuck them away.Assembly is reasonably easy. The first of the three I put together took maybe 45 minutes, but once I had figured it out, the other 2 took about 20 minutes each. Each unit comes in it's own pack, with it's own mallet, plastic feet & a set of connectors (should you need to connect several units together as I did). These shelving units are about the cheapest you can get on Amazon, but I don't feel that I have bought cheap. They look great & I'm expecting them to last a very long time.
