Bought this for the mother in law. She’s 90 now with mid to late term dementia and she always used to look in a TV Magazine to keep track of the days but for some reason has stopped doing it. This clock has ended the constant “what day is it” repetition and seems to have relaxed her quite a bit as now she always knows the time, day and date without asking. If you’re a carer you’ll know how important that can be to sufferers. The display is bright and easily read during the day and automatically dims in the evening. The background screen colour can be changed too to ease reading if required. What I also like is that once it’s had a good days run it will maintain its time and settings (not on the display though obviously) when it’s unplugged, which like most of her generation she does every night. When it’s plugged back in again there’s a short “Welcome” on screen and then it just sets itself up perfectly to the previous settings and right time and date again. 👍 Very popular purchase with our family and a good price too. Definitely recommend.

Bought this for my elderly mother who is in a nursing home. She has it on the wall in her room and is able to read ok..Many visitors have commented on how good it seems,to be.

This item has large font which is easy to read from an elderly's point. Power cable is included which is very convenient as some batteries' longevity and power sustainability may be unreliable. I was impressed how it automatically picks up the current time. My only concern is that I checked that it was working before I gave/ sent it to mu mother n another country. It was working alright, but as it picked up the time in UK, it was a bit difficult for an elderly Mother to reset in the country's time she's currently living in.

Perfect for someone with dementia

Very useful for mum to remind her what day and whether morning/evening....next step would be to have an internet enabled model so that messages could be sent to the device .... if only the damn thing was reliable... this review is written after a year and you would expect a device like this to last at least this long. Instead it cycles through some very strange behaviour... either the display is reversed or its very unclear like an untuned tv. Often this is 'cured'bu uplugging the device and leaving it for a couple of days, and then miraculously it returns to normal. A great shame because conceptually its has a lot going for it and mother loves it - but this particular variant let down by quality issues.

An excellent product which has avoided much confusion with days/dates. Very clear and accurate. Had to buy a new one as small strut at back went missing and I didn't know how to obtain a replacement. If possible to purchase the part would be glad to do so. No key to contact seller.

When an elderly relative's inherited "day clock" that just showed Day and period of day e.g. "Monday Night" packed up I purchased one of these full featured clocks as a replacement as the information displayed was exactly what I'd been looking for. Super simple to set up and for a dementia sufferer whose life is ruled by notes on a calendar the additional information of time, and date alongside the essential "Friday afternoon" has proved invaluable. Unfortunately having 1 clock in 1 room didn't quite cut it when the user spends the day shared between 2 rooms so I purchased a 2nd clock for the 2nd room and no longer do I get daily calls asking what the day is. The viewing angle of the screen is also very wide and the display can be read from any seat in the room. So far it's time keeping is spot-on. I'm now thinking of getting a 3rd one for their bedroom!

This digital clock was a gift for my mother-in-law who is 93years old and her memory is not as good as it used to be. The clock is brilliant just what we wanted it for. The cloclk shows the day, when it is morning,afternoon, evening etc,the time,and the month,date and year, everything you need. You even can set the alarm. My mother-in-law accidentally switched the clock off one night before going to bed and the next morning it showed the full screen with the date, time etc, all updated, it had not wiped anything off, This was great as my mother-in-law could probably not have reset it. The clock is very easy to read and is only app. 0.5 kilos in weight. The quality of the clock is excellent and does not look out of place. It was also very good value for money. Along with the clock is a little remote controller which you can change any of the functions such as setting up an alarm without touching the clock .I would recommend this clock to any one.
